We'll, that was a bit disappointing, but it was still a good time. A lot of runs for the Nats backups and call ups, but a lot more from the Fish. Michael Taylor twice threw a warmup ball to my nephew, and twice he threw it too low and it ended up between the wall and the seats in no man's land. Fortunately a kind groundskeeper got one for him after the game so he went home happy, though he's now convinced he's a jinx because they've lost all three games he's been to. I assured him wasn't, but also made sure to politely let him know he ain't going to any of the playoff games.

Nats shaky 9th inning D costs them the shutout, but they get the win 5-1. Strasburg was great.

Of course the site goes down when Jordan Zimmermann pitches a no-hitter. But, Jordan Zimmermann pitched a no-hitter! And how 'bout that catch by Souza to end it? Awesome way to end the regular season.

What an amazing ending today. Haven't got to see them much over the last week so I'm glad I caught this game today. Zimmerman's control was ridiculous. Souza's catch was amazing.

I don't care who we face. I've always found that when "choosing" an opponent, you end up getting your wish and regretting it shortly thereafter. That said, I'm sure during tomorrow night's game my inner fan will break through and I'll have chosen someone, but I won't like it.

No doubt. But if there's one thing i learned about DC sports the past two decades, it's when the media and/or general public is picking us to win, that's when it's time to panic and expect the worst

As crazy as it sounds, i think i'm leaning towards wanting the team that's won two World Series titles in the last four years. They lost their leadoff hitter Angel Pagan (although i should note his replacement, Gregor Blanco, is 7 for 20 against DC this year with a tater and 3 ribbies.) With Pagan, SF was 56-35, without him they're 32-39. They're also starting their ace MadBum tomorrow, while Pittsburgh is not, meaning Pit will have Gerritt Cole and Francisco Liriano all lined up for games 1 and 2 in DC.
