Matt. Seriously. We need to have a talk. Jerry Blevins is a fine human being, I'm sure. But he can't pitch to righties. That Ruiz homer was not an accident, it's part of a trend. The fact that you haven't noticed this is somewhat troubling. Nay, very troubling. He is a loogy. Just a loogy. Not every pitcher that comes in has to face the entire lineup or even go a whole inning. You've got 7 guys in the bullpen. I realize not all can be great...it would be nice, but that's not always reality. However, you must pick and choose the spots you play your "not as good" relievers. I do not blame Blevins for his numbers this year. I blame you. You have repeatedly set him up to fail. Please stop. Thank you.

Expanded rosters in 7 days = more bullpen guys coming. It's OK to use them all now. Once again, under no circumstance should Blevins have pitched to Chooch in a 1-run game.

Nats are 21 games over .500. I wonder how many games over they'd be if the manager had any clue whatsoever how to use a bullpen.

You are correct. This was the 3rd time they faced Burnett in this park this year, they should have figured him out by now. Just couldnt lay off the nasty curve.

Gio walked 1 in the first, but still got through it on 13 pitches with no runs. I'll take it.

Gio through 5 on 66 pitches. Gave up a 2-run homer to Galvis in the 5th. All-in-all, still a good start for Gio, but this may be too much to overcome against Hamels tonight, who is through 5 on 50 pitches.

Just dont know where the wins will come from. If scoring runs in Philly is damn near impossible, wait till we get to Seattle and their arms (best ERA in baseball). And i dont think the Nats have won a series in Dodger Stadium in forever.
