Nash trade rumors

If I had to make a trade, I would offer Filppula, Jurco, two firsts, and Ericsson for Nash. That leaves us like this:

Cleary-Datsyuk-Nash
Nyquist-Zetterberg-Franzen
Miller-Helm-Bertuzzi
Mursak-Abdelkador-Samuelsson

Kronwall-Quincey
White--Smith
Kindl-Random UFA

I have no idea what the hell we're supposed to do with Emmerton, Brunner, Eaves, and Tootoo. Maybe we could trade some parts for a serviceable defenseman.

Really right now we either need to go for broke and sell the farm on an anchor for the defense, or we need to start playing the youth. We have so many bottom six forwards I really don't know what purpose they serve. I have a feeling we are going to lose Mursak and Emmerton on waivers (and trade first round picks for them four years from now, potentially??).

I personally think trading Ericsson is a bad idea, I still think the kid has potential and is the only big body in the d-core, but not a bad line-up either way.

to your other message, Tatar is playing wing in GR? he's listed as a center for Detroit...

Yeah, D is getting a little thin, but Howson is going to want something. As far as Tatar, I've never seen him play center in GR but he's got the skill and vision to play that position. Usually he plays left wing though.

Gosh, it's like the Blue Jackets are that girl that wants to break up with her boyfriend, but continues to come up with the most ridiculous reasons not to. Like the freaking Dane Cook bit. It's okay, you still love Nash, he's good to you...so keep him. I know he makes you pay for dinner, but it's really fine. This is 2012.

my guess would be top prospect pulkkinen, 1st round pick, and filppula

Filppula will become an UFA at the end of the year right? If so why would the BJ's or Ducks want him when he can say goodbye at the end of the season.

So they tried. And the more they thought about it, the more they realized how good they had it.
