The Lakers still aren't good enough to beat the Thunder. Apparently they're trying to get Howard from the Magic, but with this trade it won't be easy. Orlando wants some 1st round picks in the deal along with players.

As usual, I jumped to the very last post then started reading. How the hell did we get here?

We started taking about Rick, but since that is moving slower than molasses in January, jstew started talking about Steve and yada-yada-yada here is where we currently are.

Thanks, Dash. This is one of those mornings where I actually have time to read everything, but I found a way to outdo my laziness. Ugh, I should have taken today and tomorrow off...

Heaters, mid-round pick and Gooch for Nash? Possible?

I don't know, if anything the asking price might have just gone up for Nash after Parisuter signed with the Wild. Could you imagine Crosby and Nash on the same line, though? It stills the heart just thinking about it.

I need to find the thread, but I mentioned that being the perfect connection back before they played together at the Olympics. Could have been at the swamp though... especially since it's was a Sid discussion.

The most dominant I remember Nash was when he was paired up with Getzlaf and Heatley at the World Championships in Ottawa/Quebec City.

What's even more impressive is how they got that car in the background on the still shot.

Finally! I was beginning to think that my musical tastes were terrible. I made a (not so obscure in my humble opinion) Soundgarden reference about Parise and Suter yesterday, but to no avail.....well, that and I'm not funny.

Ah... I see know. My musical knowledge begins and ends with Social Distortion. I'm actually serious.

I guess coming at about the same price as Parise, I could see it working for Pittsburgh.

Darren Dreger ‏@DarrenDreger Carolina Hurricanes are no longer persuing Rick Nash. Cost way too high. CBJ believed to be after Jeff Skinner. Non-starter.

Did you know Jeff Skinner is no longer 18 years old?

I'm sure Darkstone could give us a dizzying array of formulas to come up with a value of 18, however :D
