Secondary played well, but Gunther didn't seem to blitz often deciding to drop 6 or 7 into coverage. The DL did make Ben move around, and it was clear that his knee affected his mobility and scared him off a few times from taking a few yards on the run. Rather, he sat back and forced balls, including a big one to Williams when he clearly could have ran (if healthy) for a 4-5 yard gain without any contact.

I was shocked at how conservative the offense was throughout the day. That one is on Hue. Just didn't see the normal attack mode in the game plan. Not sure why.

Awesome to see Burfict in there, making plays in the run game. Even as he's not 100%, his presence on the field lifts up that group.

The fix was in and the Steelers were supposed to win that game. The Bell injury threw the plan off and nobody knew how to act after that.

Williams is still a pretty good RB, I'm sure the Bell injury made a difference, but probably not a game deciding difference.

Bell had 10 carries up until his injury just slightly into the 2nd quarter, if I remember correctly. So, he was on pace for 25-30 carries, especially considering later in the game with the lead they would have leaned on him heavily.

Williams got 9 carries. Assuming he got maybe 1 carry before the Bell injury (Just a guess), he had 8 carries in nearly 2 1/2 quarters of play. I think it definitely affected the rest of the game plan, and they put more on Ben than they planned.

Tomlin and Haley are idiots. They probably would have stopped running him anyway - He was too effective.

Allowing the Bengals to run the clock down to the 2-munite warning was terrible. STOP. THE. CLOCK. It's like, they held a clock management class and Reid, Lewis, and Tomlin all got drunk the night before and forgot to show up.

I can't believe we didn't get more mismanagement between Reid and Lewis in the KC/CIN game. The world could have, quite possibly, imploded at that point in time.

It was comically bad.... They have one current NFL coach and at least one former NFL coach on the sideline. Nobody told Tomlin he was stupid?

He said he wanted the TO saved for his offense, which is dumb.

You can only make a decision based on the moment you are in. What if you don't call TO and the Bengals pick up at least one 1st down. You've enabled them to run even more clock. Besides, with the offense, you can always spike the ball to stop the clock.

You simply can't make decisions based on "What if", because it may never happen. It's like a baseball manager saving his ace in game 6 to use him in game 7, but then ends up losing game 6 so it's a moot point. Makes no sense.

You never save them for the offense. They can control the clock (spikes, out of bounds, etc.). Defense cannot. He burned over 30 seconds because he apparently doesn't understand how to manage the final 2 minutes of the game. How can that happen with an NFL coach?

Tomlin has been propped up by the media for years now. As has Andy Reid. What has Tomlin won in like 5 years? They have possibly the best offense in football and can't do anything with it. I admire Tomlin's fire and tenacity. But he's been vastly overrated as a HC. Winning a Super Bowl thanks to an alltime great sideline catch, will do that I guess.
