Wow, we actually scored a run. Too bad the pitchers decided to dig a deeper hole afterward. 15-1?!

Haniger has been 'slowed' down and now his rehab is pushed back, more guys going out injured every other game it feels like. 4 games under .500 now, and no way they are better than 12 games under by the end of this month.

Yet another lost year. Sell, and sell big. It's past time to tear it all down and start over.

Let's see; We are on our umpteenth SP and our last option is Heston whose only appearance this year is 2 IP, 7 hits, 5 ER's. so ya he isn't good. But again, 16 runs can quiet a team out the next day.

Yeah, I hear you, and this lineup is more than capable of not showing up. We scored one run on three hits vs Jared F'ing Weaver through 7 innings last week. I also feel your pain on the pitching. Maybe not on the same level, but we're not throwing Mike Pelfrey and a career AA pitcher (Dylan Covey) by choice. Shields and Rodon going down has made those two days in the rotation painful.

I wish that Overton guy was throwing tomorrow... lol. Yikes. He was serving em up

M's have the worst injury situation to a pitching staff in the history of baseball through the first two months. Top 4 of the rotation all gone and backups to the backups at best. No team has ever had to go through that before.

At least we are first at something in baseball, so there's that.

I've held out hope but my hope is gone, we will be sellers at the deadline. Who do we got that would get us back anything? Cruz? I don't think JD would give up on any of our younger guys (Haniger, Heredia etc)

maybe Tuffy and cash considerations for Posey? We might have to throw in another player or two...

I propose that we let our pitchers hit and use the DH for our catchers.

Through the first 44 games, our catchers, collectively, are 19-141 (.135 BA) with 13 runs, 8 RBI and 58 strikeouts.

I don't know that nobody has gone through that in history. Nothing historical about it. The M's do not lead the MLB in players on the Disabled List. Although, I know you're talking just about pitching. No doubt that it's a tough start to the season for the staff.

Paxton threw 37 pitches in bullpen, said he felt great. He'll make rehab start in AA Arkansas Friday and likely rejoin rotation May 31.
