Just get rid of Gonzales already.

The fact that he couldn't even get out of the second inning today shows, HE'S ABSOLUTE GARBAGE!!!

Seriously, WHY do we even keep him in the rotation?
Because of his sizzling 89MPH fast ball? :pound:

When they feel Woo is ready I think they will DFA him or force him to the pen. Marco and Flexen were both on the market and not a single rumor came out that there was a potential for a deal. I remember a Yankee pitcher got hurt and the “rumor” in order to trade Marco the M’s had to toss in a prospect too. Sucks cause the dude goes out and pitches like a great number 2 starter for a couple of starts then pitch like a Mariners pitcher in the Kingdome.

We are all in a fog from last year and the fact we didn't build off of it. Life as a Mariners fan may be the hardest thing in sports. You guys brought the bats for sure. Congrats.

I believe the "rumor" part. No way would anyone want him after seeing him pitch.

Next stop: Atlanta, starting tomorrow.

Our new starter may have a good game for Friday's opener, but I doubt he'll get the run support.
For Saturday and Sunday? Get ready for more disappointment.

Eventually things will get figured out and things will go great!

I am not so sure about a series loss vs ATL.

The 2023 Mariners are capable of beating any of the top teams in MLB any given series .... IF:

1. Our stellar starting pitching slams a quality start on them ( and relievers hold them to a run or so final 2-3 innings )
2. Our 'Now you see it' and 'Now you don't' offense plates 4-5 runs.

We have a good ball club ( not great but 'good' ) They simply are not consistently 'good' or they would be on the cusp of being a great ball club.

Expect a 1-1 series with ATL, with game 3 being in the Mariners hands to win. We will see if they plan to use the bats they fly all around the country with and we will see if they have figured out how to effectively run the bases WITHOUT running themselves out of a scoring opportunity.

Julio has been quiet for too long. I expect him to hit at a .275 clip or so over these next 3-4 weeks as he gets settled in and studies ( and corrects ) his faulty approach at the plate. Fingers crossed 'early to ripe and early to rotten' France does not cool off at the same time as Julio heats up.

Kelenic has regressed to where I think he settles in. He has likely hit around .265 or so over the stretch of the past couple weeks / 15 games or so. No way was he going to hit over .300 for a few month stretch. he hopefully keeps his avg in the .270 range. Better than anyone expected.

Exactly... It's the 2nd time this season he couldn't get out of the 2nd inning...

Ya I had it free every time last year on my TV. It didn't work this time for me either so I signed up for the free 3 months and set my calendar to cancel it.

Not missing much. The Mariner hitters are missing everything though so...

Yes it does but as bad as things have been they are bound to get better at some point. Look at the Rays.. Things are clicking for them now
