Can't wait til we play some nonplayoff teams. Texas, Houston, and Minnesota coming up after this series.
We still need a closer... The Rodney experiment is gonna end eventually....

Rodney is getting eating alive ... It's like batting practice... And then to make it worse he walks winning runs into scoring position.... If we continue this experiment expect a lot of losses from Rodney ... You can only punch your teams moral so many times before it starts too implode... If he blows another save it's time to replace him as our closer.... He's just not fooling hitter... His ERA must be around 16.00 now....
You know the guy he walked is hitting about .500 right now right? I don't blame him 1 bit for being careful with Agon. Guys before him hit good pitches the other way for hits. Nobody gets Kendrick out so pick your poison.
When all you can throw is a fast ball or a change up it becomes a 50/50 guessing game. He isn't fooling anyone.

Was Zunino hurt? I changed the channel but he was holding his hand like he jabbed a finger or something.
Closers usually have 2 pitches. I get that it's emotional losing like that but come on, don't just make things up to bash Rodney. Trevor Hoffmann threw fastball/changeup and is one of the greatest closers of all time.
Hoffman had a killer change up, but also threw the slider and fastball; let alone the occasional curve. Hence, goat. Rodney throws fast or not as fast with sporadic control. This isn't new, he gave heart attacks all year last year. The difference this year is he doesn't look good at all, but there's still time. I will say this though, eight games in and I feel like it's the playoffs. It's gonna be a long season whether we are winning or losing.Closers usually have 2 pitches.
