Yes, Jackson has sucked, but I can kind of understand it a little with moving teams last year. That can be a real distraction when you consider he's a human being. Doesn't excuse his production but makes it a little more understandable.

Now, we're starting a new year. I'm willing to give him more than a week to show whether or not he'll settle into his career averages before dodging the falling sky.

I could see that as a viable excuse if just his power numbers went way down but every stat has gone down and his defense (I could be wrong but I always thought of him as a good CF) has looked AAAA player at best. But this is one I can't blame Jack as I think every person in the world would've flipped Nick Franklin for him.

Gotcha. No I was never saying send hm down and Guti up. I don't ever see Guti playing a role outside of a September call-up nor will Jackson ever be sent down. Now if you asked me would I be against trading for a replacement CF, then yes I would be okay with that.

For who? Not sure, but here are a couple of maybe's:

1- Jennings
2- Blackman
3- Dickerson
4- Martin

Not in that order, but these would be cheap, and I hope better, replacements. Gomez would be my first choice if Mil. ever decided to start over and cut payroll.

I turned on the game in the 4th when we hit the homers and then watched Paxton give it right back and told my wife that Paxton's ball has no deception to it. It is straight and I think the Dodgers are seeing that as well.

Yeah, Paxton has not used his curve much at all. He also hasn't come up and in to anyone. He needs to do both to back some guys off the plate

Paxton's going to improve. Losses are never fun, but this one is more palatable than a couple of others in this young season.

I understand why others might not feel the same.

Bummer... tough spot for Olson to come into. He actually pitched well IMO and almost got out of it, just a really nice hit for Guerrero

Yea I was impressed with how Olsen handled coming into that spot. Get one of these next two and I think that will be fine. Get a stretch of weaker teams starting this weekend
