It really is starting to get to be odd how bad the Mariners are against the Astros. Would be nice for them to buck that trend and take at least the series here. I mean as always on paper it looks to stack up in our favor except for Saturday's game and yet if this is like recent history we end up losing 3 of them.

Keuchel is a very good pitcher. He should dominate the M's feeble offense with that slider of his.

Taking bets on when he has to get TJ surgery.

Thanks for creating the thread, SeattleCoug. Forgot to do it last night and just got home.

Mariners tied 1-1 with the Astros with the bases loaded and no outs, hopefully the Mariners don't Coug it.

That was some expert coaching by Lloyd there.

Pinch hitting Gillespie who hasnt played in 10 days, for Jones is probably the most questionable decision I have seen Lloyd make. Luckily Saunders speed is just enough to avoid a huge let down.

Good win by the Mariners tonight. Nick Franklin looked pretty bad tonight, striking out in all of his ABs. I'm starting to wonder if the Mariners are just cursed at SS.

Literally got the win by half a step. Hopefully we can keep it going with Felix tomorrow night.

Its still early but I had a feeling Franklin wouldnt be a better solution. I hope I'm wrong because I like Franklin, I just saw the same bad habits tonight that I saw from him last year.

i'm hoping Franklin does well, but he already proved he can hit AAA pitching.

No matter what, give the guy more than 3 games before judging. He didn't make any errors today at SS, so there's that.

Nice way to kick off the series by not losing to the Astros. Felix on the mound tomorrow. Nice to see the M's still maintaining .500 but more wins needed to catch Angels for 2nd in the west.

Lloyd is smoking crack. That's the only thing that can explain this.

Brad Peacock is scratched from the start and instead the M's will face Rudy Owens. Owens was just called up today and is making his ML debut. Had a 2-3 record with a 6.05 ERA in AAA. I mean I want to say the M's have a huge advantage tonight but the last time the Astros called someone up from AAA to face us, he shut us out.

We don't do well against pitchers making their debuts or debuts against us. I don't understand it, but we just struggle.

Franklin resting already? I watched him a lot in spring training and with the M's in regular season and it just amazes me how he was hitting .371 in Tacoma. He looks like a hacker with little plate discipline.
