@#$^%!@ ... So far every team we need to lose is winning...
Holy hell! Holding 'em off with Cishek? How long has it been...?
Need to go 2-0... Then we need 2 of these 3 to happen
Toronto 1-1
Detroit 1-1
Bmore 0-2
I think it's very unlikely that Baltimore will lose both. So that leaves Detroit and Toronto. I think Toronto very likely will lose one of their last 2 to Boston. So it comes down to Detroit. Detroit had a game postponed yesterday, so they will actually have to come home on Monday and play a game against Cleveland. Hopefully Detroit loses one of the last 3, but they are the team I am most concerned about. Atlanta sucks and Cleveland isn't going to screw up their playoff rotation for what is a meaningless game for them. Still like you said the M's gotta go 2-0 to begin with or none of this will matter anyway. Hard to believe this could happen.
Yeah, you think YOU enjoyed those days....man....I still cannot understand how the late 90s teams didn't win a title. Randy Johnson, Griffey, Edgar, ARod, Buhner, Moyer, just stacked and always had something go wrong at the worst time. Anyway, exciting month of baseball around here.Good luck M's fans. Would like to see the Mariners snap their postseason drought, I've always had a soft spot for the Mariners. Enjoyed watching them during the Edgar/A-Rod/Olerud/Ichiro days.
It was discussed for a bit on the radio earlier in the week -- I heard the guys on 710 talk about, cannot remember which show. It's what happens with a 3-way tie for the 2nd wildcard spot. Somehow it would be our decision to be home to win 2 or 1 on the road, but I think that was if the tie involved Baltimore. Not sure we still have that same advantage if it's Toronto, which is now the team that we are most likely to catch between those 2.I heard something about Seattle having the choice to either play 2 games at home or 1 game on the road, which would be the winner of Toronto or Baltimore or Detroit... Don't quote me, but I heard something about that.. So I guess we would have the choice... I could be wrong though... Just throwing it out there..
