He would still be highly coveted in a trade. But way too early to give up on him. But still IMO send him down well before Jerry takes phone calls about him unless it’s for a star.I'm not concerned about Winker. His righty/lefty splits bother me, but even then he's still a good hitter.
Kelenic is my biggest concern at this point. We should've traded him when we had the chance. I was hopeful he might improve this year, but here are his numbers this year compared to last:
2021: .181/.265/.350, 9.5% BB, 28.1% K rate
2022: .148/.221/.311, 8.8% BB, 39.7% K rate
Those stats listed above don't even account for his latest 0-3 with 2 strikeouts.
I'll give it a few more weeks but I'm now fully on the Kelenic is a bust train.
Watching Julio and Kelenic game to game and at bat to at bat it is so apparent who is blessed with big league talent and who is having fun playing the game.I'm not concerned about Winker. His righty/lefty splits bother me, but even then he's still a good hitter.
