I think most Texans are bandwagon fans. I mean look at the Astros park. The last series that we had with them is the most packed I've ever seen the juice box ( I only pay attention to it while we're there). The rockets started selling more tickets the last few years. The Rangers attendance was highest when we were good. It seems like a lot of people are picky and won't go unless the team is really good. Speaking of which.... before anyone calls me out on it. I'm going to a game in the TB series this year and I have a mariners ticket for June / July forgot which month.

The new park will give us a better chance at retaining guys like cliff lee / Darvish and could even possibly help us steal a guy like Chris sale from someone. Not saying anytime soon or it will happen, I just think it will open up those possibilities. A lot of guys don't like pitching here because it's hot.

That's generally true of all teams, fans generally make it out to the ballpark in larger numbers to see good teams, not shitty ones, there are exceptions to the rule but very few

I'm trying to view it like this..... either way this is an interesting time for the team. We will either see the Rangers start to bounce back in short order with some games coming up against the Padres and the A's ( both teams are terrible) or.......... We could go the opposite direction, this team continues to get its ass kicked, and the front office will know for sure what to do. We could have a very exciting trade deadline this year on 2 fronts. We could either be loading up to try and catch the Astros or get a wild card ( looks like a lofty expectation at this point) or we could be everyone's favorite trading partner. If we really wanted too, I think we could ship out Darvish, Lucroy, Gomez, and Cashner ( if he continues to pitch well).
