2 outta 4 ain't bad. I'm not sure I trust anybody that doesn't have Rudy Ruetteger in their top 4.

Airplane to me is the greatest comedy and impacted the genre so immensely. While it's a Wonderful Life still holds up as a great family movie that never stops teaching life lessons.

Airplane and MPaTHG are neck and neck. I give the edge to MP on seniority only.

Airplane comes back to Netflix tomorrow, I think my 8 year old daughter is ready to watch it.

I think you have to break it down by genre. Just saying movies in general could take it all over the spectrum.

I understand, but I think it would be better to do the Rushmore of comedy, the Rushmore of action, etc...

It's just very difficult for me to compare which is the better movie between a comedy and a drama.

Jaws was one of those movies that impacted people for a long time.
Under that pretense. I would see Jaws as one of the 4.

It's lowkey the most impactful movie of all time, IMO.

The music, the literal effect on society...I read some conspiracy shit years ago, and I forget where or what, but it suggested that was the movie that made the CIA take notice, and look at film as a social engineering construct, and an investment.

Funny that it was pretty much ignored and forgotten until they forgot to keep the copywrite on it allowing tv networks to play it for free decades later.
