What's the most balanced team we have seen in NBA history?

For me, the 04 Pistons get this:

PG - Chauncey Billups (Floor general, can hit outside shots, controls the tempo)
SG - Richard Hamilton (Scorer, can shoot off the dribble or off a pass, mid-range or outside)
SF - Tayshaun Prince (Defensive perimeter glue guy that can shoot or drive)
PF - Rasheed Wallace (Had great low-post game, low-post defender and can spread the floor)
C - Ben Wallace (Shot-blocker, paint-defender, elite rebounder)

This team shared the ball, and they knew their roles, and executed like a machine. A living proof that you don't need any superstar to win the chip. It's all about TEAM effort.

For the most part you do need a Superstar, chances of a team winning without one is 1 out of 100. Pistons didi it, but let's not forget you have some future hall of famers on there, Chauncy, Rasheed, Ben IMO.

And keep in mind they blew the 2005 finals vs the Spurs.

Not only that,

The East was weak. Basically like now minus LeBron and Cleveland. The Lakers imploded in the Finals and there the Super Team era didn't start until a couple years later.

Unless Silver or some future commissioner is successful in installing legislation that prohibits Super teams, we may never see a champ like those Pistons again.

The 41-41 Heat made the 2nd round and nearly took the pacers out

They could arguably be hall of famers solely because of that championship run. I doubt they will tho. Without it, no. They are clearly not superstars.

But we're talking about most balanced team here so I picked them because they didn't rely on one superstar to carry the load. Different player shined on different nights.

I wanna know which team is the most balanced to you.

It's a good choice, as they were the only team to win a championship without a Hall of Fame player on the team. Speaks to good coaching, and total teamwork (and balance).

But they are a major exception, the rule is you absolutely DO need a HOFer, and these days really 2+

None of those players are making the Hall.

So which team could be the most balanced for you?

Might be them. Those 80s Lakers and Celtics had quality guys at all positions too. The current Warriors are as good an integrated team as any in history, not sure if "balanced" is the word without a strong center but they are proving you don't need one.

Since you mentioned that a HOF is needed, how about the 2014 Spurs, what do you think?

I can see Chauncy, and Rasheed getting in. Remember when Rasheed was with the Blazers? he was one of the best power fowards in the league in his prime. They both had good careers.

No chance. Ben Wallace who was the heart and soul of the Pistons isn't even a HOF, what's the reason behind Billups getting in. Sheed was one of the best PF during his Blazers days but that doesn't make you HOF, just being a great player isn't the key.

Probably not first ballot, but Mr. Big Shot and Sheed will be in. Ben is a little iffy, imo.

Um, Kawhi Leonard and Tim Duncan are locks for the HOF, and probably so are Tony Parker and Manu Ginobili.

Are you kidding?
