So this is based on previous year accomplishments. Sometimes a team could be knocking on the door with a strong run that ends only to win the next season.

Going back to 2004
NE won second straight.
Philadelphia finally got there after two straight years trying.

2005
Pittsburgh capitalized on a home title game loss by winning the sb the next playoff.
Seattle capitalized on a wild card, division title by getting HFA and making sb.

2006
Indy capitalized on home division loss to eventual champion Pittsburgh by winning the sb next playoff.
Chicago went 11-5 in 05, and with GB not ready to take it back managed to go from 2nd seed to 1st seed and making the sb.

2007
Giants had made playoffs back to back seasons and went one and done but the NFC playoff picture only consisted of them, Dallas, and Seattle who made playoffs previous season. Giants were building and in their third straight postseason and strong reg season finale against NE won the sb.
NE had a run from week 15 through three quarters of the AFC title game in Indy and would finish where they left off by going 18-0 before losing the sb.

2008
Pittsburgh capitalized on getting back to playoffs before losing to a team they were in a losing streak to by getting a first round bye and taking advantage of a Bradyless season to win the sb.
Arizona came out of nowhere, but went 8-8 previous season. The other teams that made playoffs though had no buildup and Philadelphia was the only experienced team(Carolina was too but new RB and aging Delhomme).

2009
New Orleans came out of nowhere but last time in playoffs they were in NFC title game and improved from 07 to 08 offensively. Out of teams that made playoffs the team with the best buildup was Philadelphia but they gave Romo his first playoff win.
Indy, NE took back their divisions. SD rebounded from a 8-8 season to go 13-3. Baltimore had best buildup from previous season but could not beat Indy at the time. Brady just went to sb his last playoff season. SD should have been the one to represent but the home playoff loss to jets started their demise. Indy went to sb in a unflattering way before losing to NO.

2010
Green Bay showed the previous season how dangerous they were gonna be almost winning in Pittsburgh and Arizona(and blowing out a starterless one the last reg season game), went 4-1 to end the season and offense could compete with any defense. They won the sb.
Pittsburgh didn't make playoffs previous season but won their last three games to end on a high note. Indy lost sb, NE lost home playoff game in wild card, SD lost home playoff game to inexperienced jets. Jets and ravens had the upside but both lost to Pittsburgh, who ended up making the sb after rebounding from missing playoffs and garnering a first round bye.

2011
New York didn't make playoffs previous two seasons but before that won sb and had the top seed. They showed then to win when they were not expected to.
New England capitalized on previous season going one and done to division rival jets to get back to sb before losing to giants again.

2012
Baltimore had been knocking on door previous seasons beating every non-experienced team or weakened team on the road in their path, and last season having a division title under Flacco the first time and almost getting to the sb, capitalizes.
SF came out of nowhere in 11 and lost the NFC title game. They had another first round bye and made the sb before losing to Baltimore.

2013
Seattle went on a 5-0 run to end the season and almost won in Atlanta. They were one of the highly buzzed to make the next sb, which they did.
Denver had a regular season 11-0 run to end before losing at home in playoffs as has been the history with Manning. But Denver capitalizes by making the sb next time.

2014
NE in 2013 had a odd year where it seemed culture was changing, they looked strong at home. They lost on the road in AFC title game but something under the surface was building. They won the next sb.
Seattle had the top seed again, winning one less game in regular season and postseason.

So what do we look at for 2015?

AFC
Denver-Lost sb and went one and done last two seasons. Not indicative of a sb winner or getting there.
NE-won previous sb has won sb before after winning one and as a 2 seed.
KC-just won a playoff game for first time in over 20 years. Alex Smith however has won his second playoff game. But no real buildup yet.
Pittsburgh-When they make playoffs and lose, they usually will rebound the next season in a big way. Big Ben has done it two times already winning sb after losing in previous season playoffs. Pittsburgh also went on a 4-0 run last year before losing and this year they have more injuries than last year and have gotten out of the first round. They have build-up as well.

NE or Pittsburgh will be in the sb.

NFC
Carolina last season managed to win the division on a 4-0 run to end the season and then won a playoff game before losing in Seattle. But it was buildup.
Arizona dominated regular season last year until Palmer got hurt and ended up settling for wild card. In a way there is buildup but Palmer has not ever won playoff game.
Green Bay definitely had a strong run last year and almost won in Seattle. This year their regular season has been a offensive mess. If they can get out of Arizona(they would be making history if they do), then they just might get there.
Seattle won the sb and lost the sb the last two seasons as a 1 seed. This year they are a wild card team, not likely to go back.

Carolina or GB will be in the sb. Arizona will only be in to lose.

Who wins?
NE vs Carolina-NE but it could be close
Pittsburgh vs Carolina-Pittsburgh, wild card team has won the last three SBs they appeared in
NE vs GB-GB if they get there with what they have they should win and again wild card advantage
Pittsburgh vs GB-this is likely to not happen because both have reasons to win. Between these two however GB. As last four wild card sb winners were 5th seed(ravens), 6th(steelers), 5th(giants), 6th(packers).
