LOL That certainly has some appeal. Some folks in SD might also be a bit upset if Shaun Phillips were to unexpectedly win the award.

Can you even IMAGINE the outrage in NE if Welker gets MVP? OMG!

They let him go in the off season, he's had the best year of his career with Manning, he won a ring (they wont give the trophy to him unless the Broncos win), and he took out Talib....NOW he's got the MVP?!

That would be pretty funny.

Denver has lost three games too. They aren't automatically unbeatable just because of their outstanding offensive numbers. If San Diego can beat Denver in Denver there is absolutely a chance that Seattle can beat them at MetLife.

Oh, absolutely.

I have no horse in this race as I'm not a fan of either team.

I think both defenses will play great and make the opposing offenses struggle. This game will not be a blow out and either team can win. I don't know what the line is on the game but I'll bet it's close.

Welker definitely seems to have gotten under Belichick's skin.

Nope, no chance whatsoever. None.

I voted other for Harvin. If Seattle wins it likely will be because of big plays by #11. I expect to see him take some of the kickoffs as well and if the cold keeps Denver's kicker from going out of the back of the end zone on them I could see him light up some special teams.

Obviously if Denver wins Manning is the MVP and I doubt anyone argues that. More interesting to guess who for Seattle if they pull out the victory.

LOL I happen to think that Seattle is a very good team that is certainly capable of not only playing Denver close, but even winning the game. Hopefully that is simply irrational!

Calm your fears man, you're just being irrational. ;)

They are capable of even winning? They are capable of blowing Denver out...and will.

I feel like no matter the outcome Manning has this wrapped up.

Pretty unlikely for a player on the losing team to win MVP, though it did happen once.

If you say so, homer. I'll probably go and watch the game anyway.

Kam Chancellor

He's playing the best ball out of anybody left in the playoffs in my opinion...better than Richard Sherman.

MVP accolades will most likely go to the winning quarterback or offensive player with the best stat...but I'm telling you now Kam will have the biggest impact on defense stopping the run, hitting receivers, and covering Julius Thomas

Unless somebody does something otherworldly, the winning QB will take it home because the guys that choose are too lazy to look elsewhere. That's the way it is. The QB's only have to play half-assed and they get all the glory in today's NFL. Not that I think Peyton won't be lights out great as always but when Indy won, he didn't have to do much to get MVP.

If a cornerback wins it then that means it was probably not a very entertaining game... just sayin'.

Chancellor is a great player and the matchup between him and JT figures to be quite interesting. I think it was the first regular season game between Seattle and NO in which Chancellor really defended Jimmy Graham well that I became aware of just how good he can be in coverage, though, as you note, he is also a well rounded LB.
