Three 1st is the asking price for Watson. I'd do it. Watson with our wrs amd this defense puts us in the Superbowl within the next three years.

More importantly, it gives this franchise sustained success for the first time in almost four decades.

Deshaun Watson Trade Rumors: Texans Listening to Offers; GM Won't Take Discount DealTYLER CONWAYJULY 26, 20211083

Alerted 2h ago in the B/R App

HOUSTON TEXANS ALERTS

AP Photo/Matt Patterson

The Houston Texans are reportedly willing to meet Deshaun Watson's trade demand but have set a high price for the quarterback, who is facing 22 allegations of sexual assault and misconduct.

Tom Pelissero and Ian Rapoport of NFL Network reported the price is "high" and the Texans may want as many as three first-round draft picks.

Albert Breer of Sports Illustrated reported general manager Nick Caserio is "determined" not to trade Watson at a discount.

With no resolution to Watson's sexual assault and misconduct cases appearing close, it's hard to see how the Texans find a trade partner willing to give up their asking price—or one even willing to trade for him at all at this moment.

No thank you. Do you think it is a good idea to sign a guy facing sexual assault charges while the owner was just just forced to give up control because of…sexual misconduct?

Hell, we are changing the name because somebody somewhere thinks the name is offensive even though the term was created by the people it supposedly offends.

I actually do. I think if you get Tanya out front considering she's running the day to to day ops right now, we'd be okay.

From all reports the Eagles are the frontrunner. Cannot let that happen imo. We are gonna spend a 1st on a QB next year anyway, so it's really only two 1st.

Wanna kick off the new brand without losing a large portion of the fanbase? Win and win early and often.

Or we look like total dumb asses by giving up three first rounders for a guy that never takes another snap in the NFL.

I say let the Eagles give that much up.

I doubt we take a QB in round 1 next season. I think we will be picking well after those QBs are gone.

If you want to lose the fan base, give up three first rounders and get nothing in return…hell, you may lose the women in the fan base by signing him period.

Texans screwed themselves. I would have traded Watson ASAP to the NFC and probably gotten 2 first and 2023 2nd.
He's not my guy i drafted, then the scandal dropped his value, and now that the Texans wanna dump him, I'd wait unless I'm denver. Unless we totally rip off Houston, its not worth it.

I agree about the backlash the organization would get for chasing Watson. The Synder situation is only being overshadowed because of the anticipation of our defense being great this year. Besides wherever Watson goes he likely has to totally rebuild his rep, the locker room will probably be looking at him sideways in the beginning. I'm hoping he goes to Denver strictly for fantasy football purposes

first off your defense will tail off because a key thing to keeping it going is through the draft . you still have to resign tmac , you lose BS you have to resign allen

but you also could lose him to suspension and starting a new culture probably doesnt mean bringing in a accused sex offender

Of course this is after everything has been settled. Shefter already said the Eagles and Dolphins won't trade for him until the case is settled. Eagles have three 1st next year. That will be tough to match.

Build the team, not at the cost of a QB. Snyder can't trade for Watson now anyhow. How does that look ... sex offender trades 3 first round picks for sex offender.

Well I'm gonna die on this hill alone. I want Watson. Ben beat two r*pe charges, one of which he settled and no one even brings that up.

I could be wrong, but Watson is accused of paying for "happy endings" and exposing himself right?

If I'm uninformed I apologize.

Snyder's shenanigans nixes the deal. I wouldn't give up 3 first rounders for Watson whether he had the charges or not.

There is always next year. Now THIS makes a lot of sense. Skins need to do all they can to prove this year that they are a QB away.

But for the record @Stymietee I'd rather have Rodgers for free next year than give up picks for Watson. I just don't see Rodgers choosing Washington though.
