Thanks, bud!

Idk why everyone is counting you guys out. Just cause no Price in net, doesn't mean anything. Series is still a toss up. The Habs got under our skin early and it worked for them. Rangers were rattled early on

Speaking for myself, its just because without Price I don't think they even make the playoffs. His numbers may not be super elite this season but they don't tell the full story. For long stretches of the season the only two defensemen playing well were Subban and Markov. Price carried the team for long stretches. It will sound stupid but he gave up 4 goals in a game earlier this season and it might have been one of the best games he ever played, the team was that bad and he was excellent but completely hung out to dry.

Losing a starting goalie, a very good one, in this round doesn't usually end well. That's the logic behind my thoughts.

Just because.

Just glad it's not 3 - 0. Kinda find it funny that the talk today is the Prust hit & nothing about Carcillo v. Ref... :ss:

So where is this farm that the Habs have access to where they grow goalies who come in before any significant regular season experience and absolutely steal a playoff game? My lord, Tokarski was phenomenal.

Carcillo is a waste of space. I hope he gets 20+.

And AV, I understand your sentiment dude. But you don't EVER (essentially) say "the ref brought it on himself by not making a call". Expect him to be a little lighter in the wallet as well.

this is what bugs me if this happens, this is not about the head shot its the dangerous hit altogether, not all direct head shots are the cause of all teh concussions. this was a terrible hit

If the puck was on the Stepan's stick, it changes the hit significantly. But it wasn't and it was extremely late.

The need to stop arguing about the contact point. It's about the amount of time after the play the hit was given. Stepan should not have been hit there.

he gets him in the shoulder (see teh halfway point on the video for best view) but again I dont think that should come into play for this. that puck was gone for a full 2 Mississippi's on my count before the hit occured. that hit did not need to be made.

Was I the only one not troubled by the Prust hit? I don't care if he hit a Devil, I didn't think anything of it... but I may still be in my 90s/00s hockey state of mind.... god these sports are getting soft as wet vaginas...

I was so sure the NYR were going to win it after they tied it up late... I'm like, its not meant to be Montreal...

very fortunate GW to say the least... I actually like the new approach the Canadians' did with the physical play... it wasn't through the whole game but it was enough to start and let the opponent know they weren't conceding the series... I applaud the strategy....

Good news for the Rangers, St Louis n Nash are looking like their heating up....

I like the contact as much as anyone and probably agree with you on most of what happens in the game. I'm a Ranger fan and a Prust fan - I like the way he plays and wish we still had him. BUT that hit last nite was meant to injure I don't give a shit what anyone says. The puck was nowhere near either one of them and Prust took an opportunity to blindside someone and he did it. The fact it he used his shoulder is irrelevant , this was meant to do damage. Prust needed to be dismembered by someone in Blue immediately after this happened. Dorsett is certainly not the guy to do it in a fight but someone needed to go headhunting and put Prust in his place. This hit better be getting reviewed by someone and Prust had better be sat down. If he isn't then a Ranger needs to sit him down.

Tell ya what I find the most shocking of this series. Subban is a tremendously talented player ,no question about it. The Habs depend on him obviously and he probably gets too much ice time becuz of it. Still , the mistakes he's made in this series are fuckin shocking. He's played some absolutely horrible hockey and it's cost the Habs every single time it seems.

I think he knows what he means to the team & is trying WAY to hard to make an impact. Just play your game, Suby.

Is that part of Prust's game? I remember him as a Ranger obviously and can't recall him being quite the hitter.

Oh ya, he's all over the place and not in a good way... Idk if its the lights or maybe that sense of urgency?(who wouldn't with Lunq stopping everything)....

Subban is not holding himself discipline and really is trying to force the issue... maybe that's good but take the bad with if so...

Eventually I see Subban and the Habs wearing out as the series progress... the whole bunch of them, from what I've seen 2 full games of 3, they are going hard and not stopping.... Rangers should be in position, as are, to win it cuz they really haven't played an onslaught type game themselves yet outscored them by a big margin.

yep... he's really making that extra extra effort or push....

its total aggression on his part however he's losing himself in the mental part of the game.

take the bad with the good...

Yep, the better the team plays the better he plays. When they are not doing well he frequently tries to do far too much.

@NHLPlayerSafety: Montreal forward Brandon Prust will have a hearing today for interference for his hit on New York forward Derek Stepan.

As Bobby Mac just tweeted, hearing doesn't necessarily mean suspension.

This will be interesting to follow. That hit very similar to so many that have had suspensions.
