Does this mean Luongo will be traded during warm ups tomorrow?

He's right

No he's not.

Torts knows that the Sens make even sub-par backups look like Terry Sawchuk. Lack is a pretty good backup.

I wouldn't be surprised to see the Sens score -1 goals against Lack. They can do it. I know they can.

Oh and just to clarify I can see the Sens scoring negative goals. It's about the only way that this Heritage Classic will be "memorable" or "historic". I have confidence in my team.

I think the decision to start Eddie Lack is two fold

On one hand, I think Torts made the right decision - Eddie Lack has only given up one goal in the last two games and is playing pretty well and the Canucks are looking for any momentum possible, they need all the points they can get and are looking for any momentum possible

On the other hand, because it is the Heritage Classic, everyone thinks Roberto Luongo should start - why was Roberto Luongo under the assumption that he would start the game? Why do people feel like the number one should start in an outdoor game no matter what? An outdoor game in the regular season is just like any other regular season game, both teams need two points, there's no time for sympathy - if they feel like Eddie Lack has been playing better and he can give them a chance, then the team needs to make that decision - it might be cruel on the fanbase or the other people who are coming to the game to see Roberto Luongo but it is what it is

I don't think Roberto Luongo should be entitled to thinking he was going to start this game all along, if he was thinking all along he was going to start this game then shame on him - he shouldn't be entitled to that - he needs to earn it like any other player

This is one of the reasons why there shouldn't be a bunch of outdoor games in the regular season - there are too many so-called unwritten rules where your starter should start the outdoor game because a lot of the fans came to see that player play - it's not fair to the team when they're trying to make a decision on which guy gives them the best chance to win

I know it sucks for Roberto Luongo that he hasn't ever played in an outdoor game and he could have had a chance tomorrow but it won't happen - however, it should be about Eddie Lack - he's played great and has earned the opportunity - let him shine and do his thing - just don't make a big deal about not starting the game, that's all

1 it's not an outdoor game
2. Luongo was never playing bad enough to lose the number 1
3. Unless he's been traded the Canucks as an organization have crossed too many lines in this relationship Luongo has been professional the Canucks have not. It makes no sense for him to lose his spot like this and to me it seems he has
4. It's not an outdoor game nor a classic

I don't disagree with you on 2 and 3 - I really do like Luongo and think he's one heck of a goalie, and he wasn't the problem for them, but I understand why the Canucks are starting Eddie Lack - he's looked really good too and they're flat out desperate for any momentum they can get and if it means going with Eddie Lack then that's what they want to do

Luongo's been very professional and deserves a lot better - Canucks organization has been pathetic to him

To me the whole thing stinks. They have a albatross in Luongo eating salary now possibly untradeable forever kesler who doesn't want to be here and the chance to really blow it up to rebuild for 10 years but a manager that to me has not shown he can do this right. I'm very discouraged yet entertained by the incompetence

They've mismanaged this whole thing horribly - maybe the Panthers, who want to spend some money in the offseason, will go after Luongo - since that's probably where he wants to go

But, knowing the Canucks they'll find any way possible to drag it out

Torts: "We're dying on the vine here, we need these two points"

So is Lack going to run the table for the rest of the year? Gotta play Bobby Lou at some point, just don't agree with this decision at all.
