I'm not sure how good he would be at play-by-play......I'm trying to give Steve every chance in the world, but he still has a long ways to go in order to be a decent to good play-by-play guy......the only saving grace (pun unintended) is having Brenly back as the color guy.....I always loved his insights into the game......

Back to Grace for a minute, it used to piss me off so much when he would do the Fox game of the week, and he would do such a great job analyzing the game (which is what the color commentator is supposed to do) and then we would be forced to listen to him clown around the entire game on our local broadcast when I know the guy can be a serious broadcaster and provide great baseball insight......I don't mind some silliness for sure since it is a long season and some games you just need some laughter to ease the pain, but he and Sutton got to making the broadcast more about them then the game towards the end IMHO.....
