No he means Daniel....I doubt Clay would do the kinds of things with him that Daniel does......:D

Clay was always living in Daniels shadow! He never could quite live up to the high expectations that his big brother had brought forth before him! How do you compete with Mr. Mustache of lake Oswego three years in a row! Tragic really...

Good news guys... the Dodgers have a tough schedule coming up.

@ Chicago Cubs

Outside of that Cubs series, all of those teams are pretty solid. It's a tough stretch for them, so I hope we can extend our division lead over them during this stretch to at least 4 games or so. If not we may be in trouble. We HAVE to take advantage of our next few series' to put us in good shape heading into the stretch run.

We don't have a very easy schedule in August ourselves though....

@Texas (makeup for game I was at that got rained out)
@ Boston x3 (I'm going to this series....yay for vacation!!!!)
vs Tampa Bay x2
vs New York Mets x3
vs Baltimore x3
@ Pittsburgh x3
@ Cincinnati x4
@ Philadelphia x3
vs San Diego x3
vs San Francisco x3

Mets and Padres (possibly Philadelphia, but we always seem to suck against them) only "lightweights" in the whole month......

The best I see the dodgers doing during that time period is 11-9. We could easily make up ground! What are the twenty games we have after the cubs and padres?

I see a potential of 15-13 in that 28 game stretch. We will need to be at our best if we want to stay at the top of the division! Hopefully, we can get some of those unfortunate bounces to go our way!

These next two months will prove if this team is a contender or just playing over their heads! We have the very tough schedule in August and September is practically all division games! Lets prove that we have a little grit left in the tank!

I think I offended glory! He is my bestest bud on this board! I don't even know what I would do if I were to lose him! Come back, glory!

That seems a pretty reasonable prediction.......dare I look at the giants schedule? They could easily get back in this thing with ours and the dodgers schedules........

Yeah, I was just about to post our schedule on here but you beat me to it. We usually do well vs the Pirates... I know they are playing great baseball right now but I don't really fear them that much. The AL match ups will be tough. I'm glad we have the Cubs right now though, we absolutely HAVE to at least take 3 of 4 vs them and hope we can pick up a game or two on LA in the process.
What this season will come down to is how we play our division opponents... which right now we aren't doing a great job of (swept by LA and lost 2 of 3 to SF)

If we have a winning record vs the NL West from here on out I think we stand a chance to make the playoffs... if not we will really be in trouble.

Agreed! It's all about how we do head to head against the Dodgers and Giants in late August and through September......

That's what I thought as well......I think 85-88 wins may be all it takes to win this division this year......

If we had not looked so ragged in our series against the giants, it would have been highly transparent that they are playing terrible baseball. The brewers and marlins are cupcake opponents but the marlins have owned the giants this season. I will beg to venture 13-16.
