hooker is starting to get massive hype in mocks. he may be gone by then. As much as i like Washington at TE, i think it takes him 3 years to justify a 1st round pick. i think he's going to need time to get his route running together

I am going to say this one last time.

Why do people want Hendon hooker on this team?

I have watched every pass he has thrown foe 2 Yeats.

I think names get stuck in some of your heads and you won't let it go.

He will be 26 before he plays meaningful football. He ran a gimmick offense in college.

Please tell me why he should be drafted by this organization and don't point to his inflated stats from being in heupels offense either.

I want to see a non tennessee fan try to explain to a die hard tennessee fan what our fan base and I are not seeing. I will be waiting.

Oh i don't want him, not because i don't think he could be decent. But I'm all in on Howell. I hope Hooker gets drafted high, so someone else falls to us

It would be great to see teams before us reach like Seattle. I like TE but not at 16 and not passing on witherspoon and porter and OT. Most def not ideal for us at 16!!!
There is a 0.0% chance that the Seahawks draft Hooker at #5. Maybe in the 3rd round, but as has already been mentioned here, the dude is gonna be 26 years old this upcoming season and has a torn ACL. Wouldn't it be best to punt on this season's QB stock and just draft a 21 year old next year?

The 26 year old QB thing is just silly. Who cares? QBs are playing to their late 30s these days. So we only get 12 years…oh damn.

That being said, not saying I reach for Hooker.

I am simply saying that it is extremely rare for a successful NFL qb to start their career at 26. Yes, we Kurt Warner as an example.

We also have Chris weinke and Brandon weeden as well.

The fact remains, not one person here has given a reason why hooker should be drafted. Yet, his name continued to be brought repeatedly. I am curious at this point.

Yeah i hear you, some of these mocks are pure entertainment, except for the teams they clearly screw over. Who do you want to get in the first? Would you be ok with Richardson and or Levis if they did take a qb?

I think Sty may have threw some reasons out there that why Hooker would be worth drafting. I don't agree with him, but that's his choice

33% is a lot better than the success rate of 22 year olds. Big strong QB who beat Alabama.

Last time the Seahawks had a pick this high in the draft, we drafted the "safest pick in the draft" in Aaron Curry. He was possibly the worst pick in franchise history. I trust the Seahawks to know when to pull the trigger on a QB in the draft (an article last year said that our GM was shopping around Russell to get the draft pick to draft Mahomes, and Josh Allen). If any of these QB's tickle our fancy, then now is the PERFECT time to draft one because they can sit behind Geno for a year (or possibly two) and then hit the ground running. If there isn't a QB in this draft, then I am definitely wanting us to trade down, multiple times, to pick up a bevy of 2nd/3rd round picks while getting draft capitol for next year with an eye on trading up in 2024 for the top QB prospect.

PFN has a great draft simulator that I spend WAY too much time on.

But at 25, you should be dominating college football. He did what he was supposed to do. Remember Chris Weinke? He was amazing in college too, and even won the Heisman in 2000....when he was 28 years old. He was drafted in the 4th round and started only one year, going 1-15.

Simply not true. The collegiate game is completely different than the NFL. Everybody in the NFL is good. It is far harder to exploit the weaknesses in that manner. Remember Kurt Warner’s collegiate career? Nobody else does either.

That is fair, especially with second tier conferences, but in the SEC you are going to face a lot of NFL talent. Being 25 rather than 21 should make a lot of difference at the QB position. Having four years of additional snaps would raise your football IQ immensely.
