I have an idea for NBA, kinda like this NFL idea but not nearly as difficult imo.

NBA One Player Per Year and Team Draft

You pick one player per team and one player per draft year.

Cannot draft a player for the same team or same draft year.

20 players total - 4 lineups (per quarter)
Team: 4 years qualifies for a team
Draft years: 1979-2008
No position requirements.

Ex: You draft Magic Johnson. You cannot pick another player for the Lakers or the 1979 nba draft.

You only have to fill 20/30 teams and 20/30 draft years.

Well 20 players is a lot for NBA but it should be a fun one

Can't we just trim it a little? 15 total? 1 team gets a half and the other 2 get a quarter?

Or 12/14/16 total with 2 halves and a bench player or 2 or 3?

I'd like to see it trimmed as well. 16 would work. Draft a lineup for 2 halfs (6 players each) and a 4 man bench.

If we did this: we would pick between less years but the team aspect of the draft is not really a strategy then...picking 15 players out of 30 teams. No point, that's why I added 5...it's only 5 more rounds, it won't be that bad. If it is...you can shoot me.

As much as I hate to admit it I agree with Shane, defeats the purpose of the draft to lower the players. We should finish this draft by Thanksgiving!!

At first I was thinking current nfl cap draft for the next nba draft but how about a NFL/MLB Current Combo Cap Draft?

One big cap and you have to create two teams. There would be a max/min you can soend for each team though
