What about a MLB Teammate draft...like the NBA Teammate draft we did below

NBA Teammate Draft: CHAT


MLB draft were we do a teammates draft. Stipulation is that each pick that you make is followed by your next pick having to have been teammates with the previous drafted player for at least 1 season. You cannot use the same franchise to draft teammates from for more than 2 picks in a row.

Let make it 7 SP's and 4 RP's??

Rules:
-18 Player draft
-Draft Pool Eligibility: 1939-2009
-After the a GM's 1st pick, GM's second player drafted must have been teammates with 1st pick for at least 1 year. GM's third player drafted must have been teammates with the second pick for 1 season. etc.
-You cannot draft more than two players consecutively from a franchise.
-2 Wild Card/Reset Picks - can be used at any point to reset the designated teammate you draft. After wild card is used, the next player taken, must have been a teammate with the wild card.

Position Requirements: 250 games

Make it 7 SP's and 4 RP's?? 20 Round Draft?
2 or 3 Wildcard Picks??

Everyone must put together a football team, consisting of 24 players...

QB (1)
RB/WR/TE (6)
OL (5)
Front 7 (7)
DB (5)

You must also put together 2 other sporting teams of your choice between MLB, NBA, and NHL. Basically, you can punt 1 sport.

MLB

Starting lineup including DH (9)
Starting pitchers (4)
Closer (1)

* I could be talked into 3 starters and 2 relievers if you guys prefer...

NBA

2 starting 5s that play 1 half each (10)
2 bench players that play 1 half each (4)

NHL

3 Offensive lines (9)
2 Defensemen pairings (4)
1 Goalie



Possible stipulation...

You cannot go more than 5 rounds without picking a player from each of the 2 other sports that you choose to participate in (NBA, NHL, MLB)

Possible voting scenario...

Everyone must rank all of the sports. The top 4 from each will go to the playoffs for head to head matchups to determine their final rankings. The other rankings will stand from the voting. There would be a point system for the rankings to determine an overall winner where the lowest ranked teams would get negative points.



I figure that this will allow a superdraft and also allow people to tank an entire sport that they do not want to deal with. Also, the rankings would deter people tanking 2 sports. Been toying with different ways to make this work and I'm not sure this is the completed project, but maybe you guys can tweak some things and make it all work.

Bucket 3 : Cubs : A's : Twins : Orioles : Braves : Angels
Bucket 4 : Mets : White Sox : Diamondbacks : Mariners : Nationals : Marlins

(I may change the teams around some before we start if y'all wanna do this one)

The amount of games per team decides which team the player would represent

EX... 498 games with the Phillies, 446 games with the Giants, 427 games with the White Sox would mean said player would only qualify for Philadelphia.

If there is a tie

EX... 651 games with the Angels and 651 games with the Braves, you can choose which team to use.

$15 per bucket, all star appearance (if player played in two all star games it counts as one) = $1


1940 - 1999 players first game had to have happened between 1940 - 1999
