Trust me pass rusher, OT and WR are high on the Bengals draft boards.
http://espn.go.com/blog/cincinnati-bengals/tag/_/name/2015-countdown-to-nfl-combine

I do not disagree. I am just saying, that based on who is there, and value for that pick, they may not pick who people think they should be picking because most preceive NEED as the pick that should be selected then, rather than the Bengals motto of best available regardless of position. They may feel, DT, DE, LB, WR, OT's are areas of need especially depth wise, but they will not reach anymore for particular players. They will take the draft board grade, add depth, and move on and take those areas of need later in the draft if that grade warrants that player is the best available at the time.

OT, DT, WR could be taken in rounds 5, 6 and 7, instead of 1, 2 and 3. All because of draft grades, and they will justify it by saying, we are not going to reach for a player, these players in rounds 1-3 were best available on the board, and we still addressed those areas of need later on in the draft. We may not agree with it, but this is their logic and sometimes it is good, sometimes it is not. One thing is for sure, since they stopped drafting for need, and drafting best available, we have stayed more competitive as our depth is usually "pretty good", except when plagued by many many injuries.

Marvin Lewis with Collins, so an OT appears to be on their list.

You don't like Dorsett because you don't know who he is. His stock is skyrocketing right now and he may not even make it to the 2nd round. And my selection of Brown is not based upon need but of all the players who may be available at the 21st pick he would be the best player still on the board. So of all the players ranked close to the 21st and 53rd selections which ones are better than Brown and Dorsett?

Can one of you draft geeks explain why Sammie Coates isn't first rounder. Big.... Fast... Catches the ball. Just because he played with shitty passers doesn't mean he won't be good as a pro. Look at Demaryus Thomas.

Because he can't really catch. His drop rate is horrendous. The worst out of the big time receivers and one of if not the worst in the draft.

Meh..... I think it would be hard to catch all those ducks coming off the arm of Nick Marshall.

His drop % was terrible. It had absolutely nothing to do with Nick Marshall. Coats hands stink.

His hands and focus are subpar

Production 3 2011: Redshirted after suffering preseason injury 2012 (11/0): 6-114-19-2 2013 (13/12): 42-902-21.5-7 2014 (12/8): 34-741-21.8-4

Height-Weight-Speed (1) Thoroughbred build; above average height with long limbs and shredded upper body. Appears on tape to have outstanding straight-line speed. Hands (9 1/2") and arm length (33 1/2") are both better than average.

Durability (3) In 2014, suffered deep bone bruise in knee during season opener. The injury kept him out following week vs. San Jose State and lingered throughout entire season. In 2011, suffered foot injury during preseason that required surgery and led to him redshirting.

Intangibles 2 No off the field issues. Dedicates significant amount of time as a "big brother

Separation Skills (2) Size-speed combination helps mask some blemishes in this area. Strong route runner that isn't easily pushed around. Nice job selling double moves on deeper routes. Takes too long gathering before breaks (and occasionally out of control at top of stem), but does show some pop accelerating out of breaks.Does not show a great feel for locating soft spots in zone. Question his overall awareness as a route runner at times.

Ball Skills (4) Ball skills are weakest area of his game. Inconsistent tracking deep ball. Gives up on some routes. Needs to do better job of using frame to shield defenders. Makes some acrobatic catches (diving, elevating, along sideline, etc) but must improve consistency when it comes to locating and adjusting to the deep ball. Just as inconsistent on short-to-intermediate routes. Has focus drops. Lets ball into pads too often. Not consistent attacking or high-pointing ball. Pro Football Focus gave him a marginal 12.8 career drop percentage, which lines up with six tapes we studied.

Big play ability (1) At his best running vertical routes. Has quick acceleration off the line and outstanding top-end speed. Can take top off defense. CBs are forced to respect his speed and frequently get on their heels. He's long and has very good vertical leaping ability to challenge for 50-50 balls. Has speed to exploit a crease after catch, but needs to transition upfield quicker and not an overly elusive runner.

Competitiveness (3) Inconsistent production but did have best performances in biggest games. In three games vs. LSU, Ole Miss and Alabama in 2014, he hauled in 14 passes for 472 yards and four scores. But in other nine games played, finished with just 20-269-0. Effort in every aspect of the game is erratic. Can be effective as run blocker when he gets in position and works to sustain. Effort is adequate. Excellent ball security. Did not fumble during college career. No collegiate experience in return game.

1 = EXCEPTIONAL 2 = ABOVE AVERAGE 3 = AVERAGE 4 = BELOW AVERAGE 5 = MARGINAL

I agree and am not a fan of taking him with out 2nd pick. I think there is WR talent down the line. Take a guy like Stephon Diggs in the 4th if possible. He'd also be the best returner on our team

I'd rather have Dorsett who ran 4.33 over Diggs who ran 4.47. Hell, I'd rather have Tyler Lockett, Josh Harper or Tony Lippett.

Have you ever watched them actually play? Care to share any additional insight than just 40 time? Siting only 40 is retarded and get you guys like Darious Heyward-Bay on your team.

I agree with that, but Dorsett isn't DHB. Dorsett is a very very good WR who is worth a 2nd round pick. That said, I don't think we need to take WR that high.

I don't think Marvin will draft a wide receiver under 6 foot in the first few rounds.... Just a hunch.

The receivers we have drafted under Marvin are Kelly Washington, Chris Henry, Andre Caldwell, Jordan Shipley, AJ Green, Mohammed Sanu, Marvin Jones, Cobi Hamilton and James Wright.

Shipley was a small guy and Caldwell wasn't big. The rest were either lanky athletes or big dudes.....
