Picked Texas over Kentucky, Michigan and Duke. Huge pick up for Shaka Smart.

I think he faded away from Duke long ago. He's the ultimate rim protector and Shaka gets the all-elusive #1 player in the country.

Good for the kid to not jump on the bandwagon of Duke or Kentucky. I can't be mad at Michigan because I don't think they were truly in it. Bamba had the best relationship with Smart of all the coaches in his recruitment.,

Maybe but none of those players have anything to do with Coach Smart. Unlike the players currently in the NBA from schools like UK & Duke who actually played for the programs current staff so I don't think that had anything to do with it.

You should read the article posted above. He got to play for Coach Smart several months back and simply felt more comfortable with him.
