We will obviously lose some great players like Walter Johnson but I don't want anyone not knowing if they can pick a player and I don't want any arguing about it in the future. We should just use current teams IMO.

Simple solution to me. Restart, all players are eligible if they played 5 years with one team, only rule is you can't take 2 players from the same team. Simple. Whatever city Walter Johnson played for is his city

Warren Spahn played 5yrs for Boston/Milwaukee Braves would he eligible, if so for what city?

Whichever one is posted on the list of current teams that are being marked off, in other words, neither.Its a mess

Yes it's by the franchise Boston, Milwaukee, Atlanta Braves and so on... If anything comes up during the draft just axe me and we will discuss it.

I'm not trying to be a Dick, I just don't know how you fix it. I would have taken Mathewson and 500 said the same. We passed because he's ineligible. Now Young and Hubbell have been taken, which would make Mathewson eligible again. Milk has cut and repicked. Grove is ineligible. No way anyone is happy at the end. Restart with clear rules IMO

Grove is not illegible, he just would have to be a red sox...

We started on Sunday when I was at Church. I didn't go through the entire thread post by post. The teams listed are all current, if you wanted franchise lineage, you should have posted them IMO

I will pick current squads only and quit bitching, but this draft is a cluster. Nos and Ritz work hard to keep it straight, but it doesn't work if it isnt all done the same way

Agree here... I don't care which we do, but there can't be some players eligible and others not that fall into the same category... I know I'm not much help here but I'm for fairness, if guys passed on people because of rule uncertainty this early we should try and figure it out... JMO

That's why we should redraft with clear posted rules. However before I start that process we need nos.

That way is good by me. Or, if guys want lineage, it has to be clear, any MLB city or franchise name.

lineage is fine too... Only problem I have with it is that almost every player will be eligible and it would almost be like having NO restrictions... That's why I would prefer current... But if that's what all you want, it will be fun...

I like having everyone eligible. I think one player per franchise and 10 GM's keeps it a little different

I want to make sure everyone knows I'm not accusing anyone of "cheating". There was just confusion on the specific rules

You have an easier fix? Let's say in the Hockey draft, you passed on Bobby Orr and Gordie Howe twice because you thought they were ineligible, and then someone took them in the 3rd round. Could you level that?
