Max Fried and the Yankees are in agreement on an eight-year, $218 million contract, sources told ESPN, the largest guarantee ever for a left-handed pitcher.

Amazing defensively but other than one year definitely been disappointing offensively. If he can put it altogether he has great potential. Just a short glimpse of offense and defense. Probably one of the best defenders I have ever seen

Not a Jays fan but he looks like a good hitter. Not tons of power but has always had high obp throughout his minor league career. No idea about his defense.

Yeah don't mind it all especially with the second deal for the P.....but crazy to hope the plan is use the money saved elsewhere?

Yeah the 2nd deal was definitely better than the first since they still have Naylor. Getting Ortiz and two other lefty pitchers, at least they are getting a need. I remember Ortiz pitched a gem vs CLE last year

I don’t think they will pay the going rate for Burnes. He’s also a Boras guy and the Sox have a notoriously bad history with Boras. I’m guessing the Sox might pull a Flaherty or Buehler instead while focusing on a RH power bat to replace Tyler O’Neil.
