Hard to believe that Weaver is 30 already. Seems like yesterday I was sitting at my computer hitting refresh every five seconds to be able to puck him up in fantasy baseball.

Is the proper response here, Ike Davis?

He is going to be gambling in Vegas the rest of the year.

In some sort of exciting news Wheeler and Harvey could be starting a doubleheader next week against the Braves.

How do you think older brother Jeff feels? He is 6 years old, and has been out of the game 3 years now.

Being traded to the Yanks was the worst thing to ever happen to him.

If I were a Mets fan (and I'm not) I'd be taking that day off from work.

I am trying to arrange it. But then again I would need my wife and kids to cooperate and let me watch. I may be better off watching it at work

I gotta say that I really like listening to Gary Thorne. He is real good doing baseball games (not as good as hockey games) but enjoyable.

P.S. - Freddy's no-no is gone

I think that is why God invented sports bars, like Buffalo Wild Wings.

Just saying / suggesting......:yahoo:

As Trout was walking up to the plate I was thinking that Freddy's only major threat is this guy. Handle him and then take a deep breath. Dammit. Sorry to see him leave the ball up to Trout but he paid the price.

Maybe I could call in sick to work, not tell the wife, head to the bar. That could work.

The Orioles announcer just called the Hamilton deal "the worst deal in major league baseball history." :omg:

"worst contract in Major League Baseball history".

Orioles announcer said that. I don't think he was speaking out of bitterness like Rangers fans are always accused of.

Has he been in cold storage for a decade, and missed the whole A-Rod debacle? You kind of need to let a deal breathe for a year or so before you can really get any sort of feelings like this, IMO.
