Ok so how about tonight we go with the Sunday Night ESPN game?

Cards vs Reds

Seems pretty good. I am at work so I will be able to watch with no problem.

What do you think?

I was just posting in the O's forum that I'm looking forward to seeing if Freddy Garcia can bounce back after that last rough start. I'm in!

I am hoping that the internet at work doesn't suck so I can watch it. Otherwise another wasted opportunity

Los Angeles Angels ace Jered Weaver has been in dominant form since returning from the disabled list. He may have a good opportunity to turn in another outstanding start given his recent efforts against the Baltimore Orioles, though facing Freddy Garcia could make beating them difficult.
Weaver looks to add to his win streak against the Orioles while denying Freddy Garcia a seventh consecutive victory over the Angels on Monday night.
Weaver (1-1, 3.13 ERA) has gone 1-0 with a 1.50 ERA in two starts since coming back from a fractured left elbow. He allowed one unearned run in six innings of a 4-3 win over the Chicago Cubs on Tuesday.
"(Weaver has) pitched very well and gave us a chance to score some runs and come out with a win," first baseman Albert Pujols said.
The right-hander didn't get a decision, but he's done nothing but earn victories lately against Baltimore (35-28). He's gone 4-0 with a 1.82 ERA in his last four matchups with them, yielding three hits over eight innings of the most recent one in a 3-0 victory July 7.
The Angels (27-36) could use another such performance as they've lost seven of nine. Since Weaver's last start, Los Angeles has given up 30 runs in four games.
The Angels allowed four home runs and 11 hits to Boston in a 10-5 defeat Sunday.
Baltimore, winner of 12 of 19 and six of seven at home, held on for a 10-8 road win over Tampa Bay on Sunday to avoid a three-game sweep. The Orioles led 9-1 after the top of the fourth inning.
They had 16 hits after totaling six and scoring one run in their first two games in the series.
"Today we just came out aggressive," said shortstop J.J. Hardy, who went 3 for 5 and drove in two runs.
Garcia (2-3, 4.70) will be trying to bounce back from a rough outing. The right-hander gave up a season-high six runs in three-plus innings of an 11-7 loss to Houston on Wednesday.
He had gone 2-0 with a 1.89 ERA in his three prior starts.
"That's part of this game," he said. "Sometimes you pitch one game and (you're) good, and the next game something like this happens. You continue to do the best you can."
He's certainly done that against the Angels in his career, going 6-0 with a 2.81 ERA in his last 10 starts to give him a 16-3 mark and 2.66 ERA in 29 career matchups. He allowed two runs and three hits over 6 2-3 innings in his Orioles debut May 4 in Anaheim, but did not get a decision in a 5-4 win.
The Angels' Peter Bourjos is expected to return from the disabled list Monday and will likely stay at the bottom of the lineup, with Josh Hamilton hitting second and Mike Trout leading off.
Bourjos has a .370 on-base percentage and was batting .313 before straining his left hamstring.
"Right now, I think we definitely want to give Josh a chance to get settled in the two-hole and lead off Mike," manager Mike Scioscia told the team's website. "If that keeps going, it keeps going. If we have to adjust, we will."
Baltimore took three of four of the Angels from May 2-5.

Just noticed that both pitchers are 50 games over .500 for their careers

Good stat/info!

I would have never guessed that of Garcia. Now, that said, I would assume that he has the highest e.r.a of all pitchers who have achieved this particular stat, but I could be wrong.

He was dominant for a long time. His career ERA is around 4.1 if I remember correctly.

damn rain

Must be in Baltimore.

We have more sense here in CA to hold ballgames when it is likely to rain. We let it rain AFTER the games are over by and large. We are nice and cool that way.

Pujols looks like such a fool with his little ethnic beard.

At least Pujols didn't hit into an inning-ending double-play, his MO.

I have to be honest I like it when players struggle after signing big contracts (With the exception to David Wright)

With a 3-0 count on Trumbo, I'd have walked him intentionally.

Like Jim Palmer just said, Garcia led the league in ERA more than once.
