Maybe I could call in sick to work, not tell the wife, head to the bar. That could work.

I'd ask my wife to drop me off there and tell her I'd just get a cab back home. I have a very accommodating wife and she let's me do stuff like that. I have a Cheers type bar I go to where the bartenders are good friends and baseball fanatics and I had them a credit card and tell them to keep the cold ones coming til it stops working and then shove me toward a cab.

The Orioles announcer just called the Hamilton deal "the worst deal in major league baseball history." :omg:

"worst contract in Major League Baseball history".

Orioles announcer said that. I don't think he was speaking out of bitterness like Rangers fans are always accused of.

 baltimore announcers talking about pujols and hamilton

these could go down as the worst contracts in mlb history

Has he been in cold storage for a decade, and missed the whole A-Rod debacle? You kind of need to let a deal breathe for a year or so before you can really get any sort of feelings like this, IMO.

Does have a point. The ARod deal crippled the Rangers for an entire decade.

I don't know man. Do anyone honestly believe there's long-term hope for this douchebag? A-Rod has already produced more than Hamilton ever will on this contract.

Sounds like a nice little arrangement.

My wife lets me do tons of things so I won't push it this time. I have the most seniority at my job so I will just sit and watch and make everyone do the work.

It is amazing to think that McLouth was the biggest trade chip the Pirates had a few years ago.

Things change so much in this game.

For me, my local B.W.W is my Cheers.

Pretty much everyone there knows me and my wife, and we get special treatment each and every time we go.

Heck, I'm a Dodger fan living in Giants country, and they will ALWAYS change a t.v by me to the Dodgers, and I don't even have to ask.

That, and I am shaped very much like Norm, and have a ton of useless trivia info, like Cliff.

It only took him 10 years or so to put up a solid season. For a time, I had him in the "if he could only steal 1st base" catagory of players. He is a bit better now.

Have you guys taken a second to actually look at that lineup card by Scioscia because with the lone exception of Ianetta batting 8th, it makes virtually no sense at all.

He tossed all the names in a hat and drew at random?
