Rolen's a good pick. Great defender and a pretty good hitter to boot. Cards had a nice core with Edmonds/Pujols/Rolen (and Drew was good when he was on the field).

Btw, Beltran's also my backup RF (he has 430 games in right).

I had Beltran on my big board i sent in over the weekend but I didnt put him high enough. I do think Rolen is the right pick for my team in this spot, though. Always good to have a glove like that coming off the bench.

It wasn't until a few days ago I realized I had a lot of lefties in my lineup, lol.

Again guys, you cannot take closers to fill out your bullpen, they can have a few saves here and there and can even have been a closers for a couple years but spent the majority of their career as a relief pitcher thats fine, but if the guy played 10 years in the league and was a closer for 8 of them you cant add him to your bullpen as anything other than the closer.

95% of ace starting pitchers could jump in as a relief pitcher and dominate imo

Agreed but the point is to draft relief pitchers not 9 starters. Trying to keep this as realistic as possible. Teams don't have 9/10 starters on their team and a closer.

I figure its like an All Star game where the manager has so much talent that he can throw a starter in there in the 8th inning.

All prospects start out as Shortstops, Center Fielders or Starting Pitchers and then scale backwards based on talent, right? If we are talking about the most talented players ever, scaling a starting pitcher back to a reliever seems logical

It may sound logical but it's not what the rule was when we started and people have already drafted relievers and we aren't changing the rules 3/4 of the way through...
