OK on Gaetti....how about I play Babe Ruth as a Starting Pitcher as well as an OF? Unlike Chipper, who played an inning or two here or there, Babe was an awesome SP. Good with that?

I'd be fine with that, but we aren't hitting pitchers... I'm not trying to play him in 2 spots like you're trying to play Babe... So if you'd rather play him at pitcher than as a hitter by all means.. For the record he started 41 with 32 complete games...

How is that...? You are attempting to play somebody at pitcher and a fielding spot... I'm playing a guy at DH basically as the rules state... It doesn't say he had to play any time at the position yet he did, I'm not asking him to field the position only hit, so how is it a stretch when you're trying to play with 23 players instead of 24...

I'm actually pretty unclear how you can say playing a guy at pitcher and as a position player is the same as me using a DH which again was how it was depicted in the intro...

1 each C,1B,2B,SS,3B,LF,CF,RF,DH
5 bench players who you can use to play defense for less than good defenders in your lineup
5 starting pitchers

Per the rules, I can have a bench player to play defense for less than good defenders... I believe Chipper would fall into that category... What you're describing is not taking the required amount of players...?

Why are we getting all bent about this, go ahead and play Chipper at short, when we post the matchups I will make sure to say batting 3rd Shortstop Chipper Jones, when the laughter dies down we will vote accordingly. You know that we have always had the unwritten rule the player had to have played at least a season or so at a position, hell it used to be like 486 games at a position but like someone said we didn't just draft a bunch of DH's.

I've already restructured so he's at 3B when we do our add/drops, I was just responding to UK saying playing Babe at 2 spots is the same as me playing Chipper as what would be considered half a spot... For the record though, as long as we are doing salary caps, after this one, I'm against 0 players period... I don't care if some 0 players are better than $5 players, it is a loophole...

He was a great pitcher, should you play him there i would only say you over paid... But he can't play in 2 spots at the same time... And again, he's been moved... Just waiting for the opportunity to change it...

I'm very reluctant to keep Clete Boyer, how do you feel about him... I read an article saying he was the best defensive 3B ever outside of Brooks... I didn't take it as gold but felt it was good enough to select him... But he's not very well know even to one of my guys who know baseball...

He has a better fielding % than Geatti by .001 but The guy I planned to get is worse than both by far... Clete has way less errors than the 3... Not trying to trash Gaetti because I was going to get him before I grabbed Clete, which I'm still not sure I shouldn't have... I think Clete is the way to go though, just hope his 0 dollars doesn't hurt me...

The thing about Gaetti you gotta remember is he played on the concrete infield at the Metrodome, some people say you get a true bounce off the cement turf but in his defense the "Hot Corner" was never a truer term than playing 3rd at that shithole of a stadium.

I didn't know that, but I knew I should have grabbed him lol... I used him more as a measuring stick for the 2 guys I have in mind... Gaetti had more put outs... Everything else was Clete, but Clete didn't/doesn't have a big name, only 1 GG and no all stars... His brother Ken on the other hand lol... But, it is what it is, neither one is going to sway a vote like Brooks but I don't have enough money to get him so I'll stick with my guy...

I actually thought about it, but decided I shouldn't play an CF in LF when he doesn't have enough games to qualify there.

So, I have no adds/drops... that was the point of this post.
