It's pretty easy to find cheap guys at the end of your bullpen or bench players but cheap 4 or 5 starters is a little more tricky.
I guess it's okay to share my logic with my spending. My bench will cost me $0. Where do I need a defensive replacement? My 8 fielders have a combined 72 Gold Gloves. For Ritz and other math challenged folks thats an average of 9 Gold Gloves per player. I have the best defensive team I have ever had in one of these drafts so i'll use the bench money for other things.
But what is the reason we even included the benches then? If it is supposed to add another dimension, it helps you zero. I feel like nobody is going to even look at the benches even if your defense in your starting lineup isn't the best. I feel like I need a better defense, especially in the infield.
JD is freaking awesome. Didn't give up Profar or GalloWell the Rangers just got better lol
Beltran, Lucroy and Jeffress
I drafted so I wouldnt need to add defense, not everyone did that, the reason we did this is to allow people to draft Manny Ramirez and Johnny Damon and not play them in the field.
I understand that, but when we compare your matchup we won't even look at your bench then, it will be pointless lol
What do you mean "use your bench for other things"? I thought the point of this one was to use your bench for defense.I guess it's okay to share my logic with my spending. My bench will cost me $0. Holland and Lewis due back next month, add to Yu, Hamels and Griffin, with Perez going to Pen. I'm glad we didn't give up Profar, Mazara, Gallo and more for one SPGood pickups by the Rangers but I didn't see was anyone added to the rotation?

So Nats didn't trade any of their young stud prospects but still acquired closer Melancon to replace Paplebon. They still needed a leadoff hitter preferably CF but I like that they didn't give up their future for 2 month rental players. They have a bright future and even brighter future if they can resign Harper in 2019 and not let him go to Yankess for half a billion dollars.
I just thought we were not doing the traditional bench with PRs and PHs and such. We were just using the bench for defense.
