How have you guys been doing baseball recently? Still setting 1 lineup?

Because the manager in me has some things I need to be tinkering on match ups

No we allowed him to steal Beltre from you. He has to pick 1 and now you have to find a replacement. :thumb:

Damn, I was excited to draft him too... was actually thinking that he was the most perfect bench player possible... One of the best defensive 3B of all time and a decent righty power bat... that satisfies 2 of my 6 wants on my bench...

Scott Rolen will do... Almost as good defensively, and better offensively... But I really wanted the defense...

Nice pick Hockey with Evans. I think Hockey easily wins his first round matchup with the addition of Evans to his roster.

Ps. I am serious on that I like the Evans pick.

So last year when Dash and Walker made Allstars I was completely unprepared financially... We tried a bunch of ways to make money but in the end I found some side jobs and my wife did some extra work and we made it... Along the way I tried a gofundme thing and Ritzy came out of no where while he was injured and out of work and sent $5... He didn't know me really, I think I was in a couple of drafts and he was struggling with his injury, and I said I'd send it back because he was the only person who sent anything... He said keep it and give it to the boys so I took them for ice cream and they took a picture with a note that said thanks... I wrote that long ass story to say I wasn't going to post the gofundme thing here because I didn't want anybody to feel obligated to send anything but somehow Ritzy found the team page that my wife set up for the whole team because there were people in the boat I was in last year (I'm in the front of the boat, but in the same boat lol).. Last year was one of the coolest things that anybody ever did for me in my life, it may have only been $5 bucks but it was at a time when I was really scared we weren't going to have it and he said "hard work should always pay off"... This year he sent $20 bucks without even being asked... I just wanted to say thank you man! I only hope 1 day when you're looking around thinking damn I need help I can be there for you... Seriously awesome man... THANKS!

I got a email from Go Fund Me and it said it was from some lady I never heard of but the picture listed had a group of kids in baseball uniforms. I almost deleted it when I looked closer and 1 player looked like Dash. Then I saw the lady who sent the email had last name as WLK so my quick detective methods I put 2 & 2 together and figured it out. Last year was rough with losing my job and in pain with my knee. I felt sooo bad that I could only donate $5. The picture of the kids saying thank you actually hurt me because you could see the disappointment in their eyes that not enough money was raised. I got grief yesterday from my wife for donating $20 to someone I never meet kids baseball league but I would be damned if I didn't donate more then $5 again. I just wish I could do more. Finances suck especially having a small kid and teacher aids don't get paid shit. One day I'll be rich enough to donate a lot more. Wlk you are a great guy and one day I'll be able to fund the kids team a lot more. Hope they kick ass :suds:

Funny, scary moment yesterday. My son (almost 2) ran to his room and locked himself in his room. We never new there was a lock on the inside of his door. We couldn't open his door and worried we couldn't hear him. The key that everyone normally has above the door frame wasn't there so now we are searching for tools trying to fit into the tiny hole of door knob. We are also on speaker with my brother in law telling us what to do, how to insert the screw driver into the doorknob etc etcetera. After what seems like a eternity we just removed the door knob. My sons fingers poked through the hole where the doorknob was so we new he was ok. We eventually opened the door but that event got my heart pumping.

UK, I will trade you Scott Rolen for Adrian Beltre... Rolen is better offensively!!!
Rolen career .281 average 316 HR's
Beltre career .284 average 402 HR's

Rolen isn't better offensively lol

I think Beltre is the best defensive 3B ever(maybe Brooks Robinson). No thanks

Geez everyone wants Beltre. I got a text from WLK asking if he should do a trade with UK and one of the many players involved in the trade listed Beltre.

UK I will trade you my 25th & 26th pick for Beltre :dhd:

not going to argue, but nice job cherry picking 2 stats... Just wondering why you added LOL...

I agree that Beltre is arguably the best ever defensive 3B...

Remember Milk LOVES OBP and Rolen has a better OBP so thats probably what he was talking about. Gary Gaetti was an excellent defensive 3rd baseman I gotta throw his name in there.

You said Rolen was better offensively. Beltre hit for a higher average, a hundred more HR's and is still going strong. What other stat do you need? Enlighten please
