Then what is the core issue, all we are getting is through the media is solely based on racial issues. He may have fumbled things or not done stuff as quick as some want but there has to be more to the story.

Ferguson, now Mizzou - is the entire state of Missouri screwed up? The company I work for is headquartered in St. Louis and the people who run our company suffer from chronic cranial rectal inversion.

I would love to see Mizzou remove those athletes from scholarship

NAACP, or whatever organization does black rights, come in and say how it is racist that they pull the scholarship

And then NCAA defends Mizzou and ends up being NCAA vs NAACP.

If Missouri pulls scholarships from those athletes it will kill their recruiting in the future. They will lose a ton of players who will look at Missouri pulling scholarships from a bunch of black players. It will kill them.

Don't pull the entire scholarship, let be able to attend class but provide no meals nor stipend while they on essential strike

I hear Wolfe is out and its not just over this. Hear that slow decision making have not pleased anyone on campus. Lots of fumbles since he has been at Mizzou. Plus he isn't very good with public communication. Sounds like he was a bad hire overall

Then they gave in to the demands. That's too bad.

Not true.....no way they do them all

Well 1 demand. Any mistakes he had made prior will be made to be the reason for his firing. "Oh no we didn't give into the demands we were going to fire him anyway"

Man, from the heat this guy is getting you'd think they had pictures of him at a cross burning or maybe pushing for mandatory racial intolerance classes or something. WTF is he supposed to do about the things some of these people are complaining about? I read the recently "edited" wiki page with the list of gripes that the protesters had (they just reverted it to what it was before). They want big brother on campus so they know that everyone's nice and PC on campus? This is sad. The students are supposed to be focused adults. But now I guess we're looking for high school, part 2 with people being sent to the principals office when they act up.

I would be surprised if Missouri doesn't handle the situation correctly regardless of what that action is. We can post our opinions all day long but no one here has a true grasp of the situation and football is not and should not be the priority.

The damage is the publicity but if Missouri acts quickly and decisively that can be mitigated. The longer this stays in the news the more damaging it will become.

And they won't win a game if they start pulling scholarships.

Marshall won games after all they went through. Even with bad PR I'm sure there are enough responsible parents/guardians or whatever that won't say no to a school just because they didn't cave in to extremists. I'd say having extremists like that would be a recruiting deterrent but somehow Cal Berkeley still has a football team and that school is 99% extremist.

Maybe not.

But I don't see how a school can stand pat while it's "student athletes" don't fullfill their side of the agreement.

Doubtful that many of those players would be in school if they were footing the bill.

Marshall wasn't D1 for like 20 years though.
