Missouri comes to Norman on Saturday in a very unusual start to conference play for Oklahoma. OU hasn't played a conference game in September since 2001 when KSU came calling to Norman, OU winning 38-37 in a thriller.
Missouri is fresh off a drubbing of Western Illinois, 68-0, coming in with a 2-1 record. Sophmore QB James Franklin out of Cornith, TX leads the tigers after the depature of first round draft pick Blaine Gabbert.
Franklin has a strong arm and can run if the option presents itself. EJ Manuel of FSU had flashes of success running against the Sooners and that was the only time the D broke down trying to stop the scrambling QB.
I can see Missouri looking to go with alot of read option to give Franklin a chance to showcase his skills. OU has plenty on the line in this game so they will be fired up for the start of conference play. I like OU 38-10.
