I think the Vet Leadership he bring is important. He

I'm all for guys trying to maximize their income while they're playing, but Mincey is going about this all wrong. He doesn't have the cache to be pulling shit like this and trying to dictate terms. This isn't anywhere close to a Scandrick situation -- Scandrick is a career long Cowboy and quietly one of the better CB's in the NFL over the past few years, who had earned some loyalty in previous contract negotiations. Mincey is a second year Cowboy who had one okay season and now thinks he is owed something.

Mincey has made his point, but he needs to get his ass into training camp ASAP.

Yeah this is one of those situation where we all like ya, but we don't all love ya.

This is what happens when you let players know that you will negotiate because they don't show up. You let a guy like Scandrick do this (his was more a threat because he didn't have to show up) and everyone wants to to this. Never negotiate with players under contract that are holding out. Doesn't matter who they are or how good they are. When they come back in you can talk, but no one is more important than the team.

this guy is Tony Tobert like defending the run from DE from the 90's...huge role all along the line. Rushing from the Dtackle spot on sure passing downs sure sounds good to me

I disagree with this.

IMO, you have to deal with these situations on an individual basis. Scandrick was deserving of what he got, and that isn't any less true now that Mincey wants a bigger piece of the pie. I guess our opinions just differ here.

I get tired of these holdouts, maybe because if I walked into the bosses office and threatened to hold out, his next words will be "Meet James, he's your replacement".
