Because it's a helluva retirement plan?

True. Charlie Weis is probably on some beach in the Caribbean fending off kids trying to push him back into the water.
Because it's a helluva retirement plan?
Miles to Kansas building steam. Rumored to be announced tonight at their bball game. It’s speculation of course but clearly giving up that cash doesn’t come without some time of deal in place.
i dont think you need an uptempo offense to succeed in the acc.....now the big12 would be another storyMiles knows nothing about up tempo offense, which is why he failed at Lsu, so Louisville would be a bad fit.
I’ve been team triple option for several years now. The logic is sound for a program like KU.They really should look at Ken Nailapuaotlololol from Navy. They're never going to get the spread recruits needed to compete in Big 12 country, but that sort of offense could work there since none of the Big 12 teams face that sort of offense ever really.
It’s more about relationships, namely with the AD, if Miles seriously took the job.I don't understand why anyone would take the Kansas job unless it was the only Power 5 school that they could get the head coaching position.
They did that when Beaty got hired IIRC. The sauce checks out.Miles to Kansas building steam. Rumored to be announced tonight at their bball game. It’s speculation of course but clearly giving up that cash doesn’t come without some time of deal in place.
But do you think a guy like Miles has that many options?I can name 4 or 5 G-5 schools that I would take before accepting the Kansas job.

Also that KU booster money>>>>
All about setting up for the program for when the next wave of conference alignment starts. And that starts where the money is- even with the Phog about a 15 minute walk away.I think this is the biggest key, boosters are going to be excited and that expensive facility plan can be set into motion.
I'm not sure what else Miles will accomplish, remains to be seen if he's willing to modernize the offense or if he's just going to fail like Weis did. Should be fun for us to see at least
Coach's salaries now are ridiculous. Miles current payments pale in comparison to what bad coach's are being paid now.
Miles is giving up $5,000,000 for the next five years for a contract that will gaurantee him $25,000,000 for the next five years. I am guessing that a coach with SEC ties, that has won a NC, can command a $5,000,000 salary per year from a Power 5 school.
Now, a coach like Mike Riley will never be paid more than the $2,000,000 per year that Nebraska is paying him until Feb 2021, so you won't see him asking for a buyout from Nebraska, and I bet Nebraska has been asking.
I don't think it will be Kansas though. There are two schools in Florida, in the ACC, that might be more attractive.
It’s Les dude. No one wants a 60 plus year old guy to rebuild a program and expect him to stick around... unless that program is desperate which Kansas is. Love Les, wish him the best, expecting the worst.Wow, did I miss this one.
Les Miles to Kansas is being widely reported.
Nebraska FULLY paid off Riley and Eichorst. Nebraska owes Bo Pelini through February of 2019. Although, Nebraska did not get a discount on the payment to Riley, Nebraska just paid him the full $6,200,000 he was owed.
