Tough to really argue with the NFL's stance given (dumb) federal law and a still sizable chunk of the population that believes Mary Jane is hardcore and damaging stuff. I get their side of it- I just wish the politics of it can just go away.

Problem with the law is that it was made illegal along with hemp 80 years ago by industries that didn't want the competition (plastics, oil, and paper can be made from hemp). Special interests running the government even in the 1930's....

If this guy was truly only interested in pain mitigation, he would be using CBD oil. The likelihood of testing positive is almost zero if they are only testing for THC levels.

Many of the claims of "only for pain relief" are usually disingenuous. There are medical avenues through MJ/hemp byproducts which one can take for pain that don't result in getting high.

If you've seen his interview, he had to be convinced to even try weed, as his father was very anti-drugs. He was on Sanjay Gupta's WEED 4; Pot vs Pills (on CNN). Kyle Turley was on the episode as well.
