I don't care, he shouldn't be here. There are some pretty simple rules to live by while on scholarship -- to get a free Michigan degree -- do your homework, practice football and don't punch people in the face. I don't want my ticket price and mandatory "donation" going to offer kids like that scholarships.

As for the good it does for Michigan -- it allows us to offer some other student a scholarship who deserves to be here.

York claimed that he said something to him before hand but we don't know what that was and then he claims that the guy bumped into him right before he punched him. The video doesn't show any of that so I'm assuming he's lying, at least about the "self defense" claim.

Although it's only a 30 second clip it looks like York really wanted to fight someone that night. The victim completely ignored him and focused on his buddy. As a student it has to suck knowing your tuition helps pay for the guy who just cold cocked you's education.
