Philly has been kicking the can down the road for 10 years and their cap is in fine shape now and the next several years. The have a couple of Super Bowl wins to show for it. After 30 years if futility, it's time to kick a can.

100%. The shine has been off the Star for some time. Sad thing is, even this years squad could have a legit shot if Jerry and Stephen had really decided to go for it. This is a good team, it could be really good with 3-4 more holes filled

And I still disagree with those saying Jerry cares about money more than winning. If this was true the team wouldn't have cap concerns yearly and a lot of past players would never have gotten paid by Jerry. His problem is mishandling contracts.

He's a deal maker guy. Not an organizational guy, least not NFL organizational guy.

Could you imagine last 30 or so years with JJ as a face and a real GM crying the halls. Big smile and party bus while somebody who can game plan with coaches for players 24/7 while running all other day to day shit.

I think Jerry's will to win and a real GM would have produced a few Super Bowl wins. I also think if there's no cap Jerry Owner/GM would have a few Super Bowls.
