I thought it was a stroke of genius. He knows he can't guard Lebron...so rile him up, and let him go for 40 or 50 while everyone else just sort of stands around. It nearly worked, but Miami's defense down the stretch just negated any type of mind games, or anything else

Paul Pierce is one of the Most underrated and unappreciated player of the last 20 years.

What are the odds that dude has won at least 6 playoff series that you didn't think he would? Which would put you about another 6 series below most of this board, BTW.

Guy has outplayed Kobe, LeBron, Iverson and Reggie Miller head-to-head in the playoffs.

I think you are totally misinterpreting his comments. While he talks shit on the court, he's never been one to call people out in the press. He's not saying he is better than LeBron or that he will take LeBron. Dude knows he's too old for that. He's telling his team that they need to not be intimidated and go right right at him, and that you can't play any other way. And that as a guy who is familiar with him, he will jump on that grenade to the extent he can.

That's what leaders do.

They are hanging tough. If you had the Nets winning this series, I suppose you are disappointed. But really, you just hating on a guy and a team that will go down swinging.

I don't agree with your interpretation of his comments. His 5th series vs LeBron, with 2 more vs Kobe, and several more vs a bunch of other HOFers.

Oh for sure. But that game in particular, he did it with such grace. Usually Lebron is intense and shows his emotions, but that game his face was just emotionless. He was so serious and zoned in. Fade away jump shot...emotionless. Big dunk...emotionless.

your point? 5-9 from the field and hit the 2 biggest shots of the game. he isn't going to get 15+ shot with LeBron taking 24 shots and wade getting 14.

The fact is Lebron had to take over, his teammates weren't hittkng open shots. Wade played good in the 1st half, but seemed lazy in the 2nd bc he knew Lebron was on. If he is on he will get 20+ attempts.

If Bosh gets open looks on 3's he should hit 2/4 down the stretch, it is expected now

Some people need to stop it on this board. Wade and Bosh aren't going to put up 20+ points in a game when they see Lebron going off. It's not like Miami's been struggling throughout the playoffs - they've lost one damn game so far and are up 3-1 in the series going back to Miami. Neither Bosh or Wade struggled in this game, although the latter did have some brain farts on defense and taking care of the ball in the 2nd half.
