Will someone please explain to me why the Nets are facing the HEAT in the second round even though the Nets are the lowest surviving seed and the Pacers are the highest surviving seed? Why then aren't the Nets playing the Pacers?

I always figured the notion of Brooklyn actually being able to beat Miami was based on the notion that they match up well enough and have advantages with DWill and Lopez. I think without Lopez, they're just a poor man's version of the Heat.

Interesting series here...a lot of vet players expected to log heavy minutes...if DWil had his wheels full strength I would give the Nets half a chance...as it is, I like the Heat in 6.

I would like to pick the Nets in this one, but I think they're a bit old in the wrong positions. If DWil legs were 100%, yes, that is advantage Nets, and I would find a way to emphasize Lopez even more.

Good analogy...only the go to guy in MIA is in his prime.

The heat are fresh. This was lbj 2nd lowest mpg in his career, this was the lowest mpg of bosh career, and wade was on maintenance program all year long. In other words miami big 3 is as fresh as they ever been during the playoffs

Since both of these teams are experienced, veteran teams.... I think this plays out as a "Rested" vs "Tired" series, more so than a "Rusty" vs "Locked into Battle Mode" series.
