Miami Heat Roud 2 Series Thread

Ball game boys.....20 turnovers per game, very bad sets down the stretch in the 4th of both games where we blew 7 and six point leads. Executed in one overtime and did not in another. They were more physical, got the 50/50 balls, and out smarted us. Winslow, Richardson and Whiteside showed their youth.

You do realize we been nearly just as awful as Toronto in the 2 games also right? I would be much more concerned Miami actually play 2 very good games while Toronto played 2 mediocre games and we were only able to get a split. Both teams played mediocre basketball

Quite clearly we were, but that is our norm on the road.
It's no surprise.
I'm assuming we'll win this series, but then we're in for a bitchslapping.

Our game 6 performance on the road in Charlotte was much better than our 2 road games in Toronto this week

Yes and no. Same game. We could not execute down the stretch when ISO sets for Wade and Johnson did not fall. In Charlotte, hero ball from Wade worked.... Don't get why no movement or plays for Deng or Dragic. Such is life.

Yeah at most that Cleveland series (if we make it) would go 6....but if you put a gun to my head, I would lean towards 5.

The only way Toronto is winning in Miami is if we get the regular season version of both players in one of the games.

No way can they win in Miami with those two perform how they been in the playoffs.

The East is not very good after Cleveland that is for sure. Every time you want to trust Whiteside, he gets schooled by another "decent center'.

We might be playing with fire. Have to believe the Raptors play to their average at some point.

You're way too concerned for a fan of a team who just did what they're supposed to do as the road team in the first 2 games. Considering how bad we've been on the road and how great we been at home since the break, I would expect Heat fans to be really confident heading back home. Since the ASB we were defeated a total of 3 times at home ( Once by GSW and twice by Charlotte by a total of 5 points). I feel really good about games 3 and 4.

bksballer --- how long have you been a Heat fan? Just curious. What was disappointing tonight is that a Heat team and organization with many veterans with playoff experience did not bring the same energy and focus as we had in game one and we gave a team a win when we could have pounced. Charlotte was different as they gave us some fits with mismatches and had Linn and Walker go off. Toronto looks like a defeated team with a meh coach, and we don't engage with the focus needed position ourselves for a short series to get rest. Riley is likely pissed. This is a game one should pounce on the opponent.

We will take both games in miami. Just as easily as we could be 2-0 we could also be 0-2. We have been terrible. 20 TOs is ridiculous. No way should we win a game with that many turnovers, and we almost got 2 wins. We will play better ball at home.

True...just want us to win this series. The more I think about it, the more valuable being battle tested and in rhythm might be. We would have had a ton of experience in close games during these playoffs and no back to backs.

LOL True. We definitely have more problems then that, but it isnt the least of them. They will be rather fresh and we would be walking in Gassed.

My biggest worry this series is that.
As bad as the Raptors were, they didn't look tired.
I thought JJ and Whiteside were going to need oxygen.
At home, we need quality minutes from Rooks 1 & 2, and if were not getting them then we need some from Green and Tyler.

Richardson is actually very good at home. Green seems like he moved ahead of Winslow in the rotation. We could really use a hot game from Gerald

The key word there is QUALITY. As it is they are seeing too many minutes. Richardson has been really hurting us. On both ends. Winslow hasnt been great offensively, but he at least has helped some on defense. They need to start doing more with the minutes they are getting. I wouldnt be opposed to Green and even Wright getting some more minutes. Id rather stay clear of McBob. Green seems like he found his shot a little and isnt afraid to attack.
