Ira made a good point about the Heat not adding the 15th player on their roster coming back to hurt them tonight

He is right. The Heat seem to do this shit too much. They are pretty much set on who is going to play on a nightly basis for the most part.

Greetings all! Interesting game. Good start which is not unisual. Team got out hustled tonight - see second chance points. Also, what the heck was Coach Spolestra thinking with the lineups to end the 3rd and start the 4th and not letting Dragic come in until 8 minutes left in 4th. Wade has some rebounds but shot poorly. White side not in at the finish and so it continues from last year. Home opener tomorrow versus Wizards. Looking like 0-2 to start the season.

I think they took out Whiteside simply for defensive purposes and it was with under 3 minutes to go. Not like last year when he would sit out most of the 4th.

At the end of the day, we are missing 4 important rotation players.....2 who would likely be starting.

Hard to take anything out of this team in terms of rotations.

The only thing I really took out of the lineups today is that Bam and Whiteside can play together

Happy to see they didn't draw it up for Wade though. Have to treat him for what he is. A 36 year old role player at this stage

They went to Richardson - and he predictably rushes it and turns it over. Thats the thing I hate about Richardson and why I dislike him as a starter - He is a specialist on defense but offensively is too erratic because he just tries to do more than he is able to

This is one of those I like to call a well deserved loss for the Heat. Did just about every thing to lose this one towards the end. And they accomplished it.

The good thing is that they get a chance to bounce back tomorrow night.

Per Ira Winderman, once again, Wayne Ellington will be active but not expected to play.

Most people, as usual, will just look at the points total and try to justify their performances - but thats not good enough -- Wade and Richardson need to be more efficient tonight to give the Heat a chance. I don't care how much they scored last night - they shot terribly from the field, and obviously stunk it up when we least needed them to do so.

For the minutes they get/will be getting and touches they get - they need to be far more efficient.

Unlikely to happen because this season is obviously all about the Wade farewell tour, but I would like to see Kelly Olynyk come in off the bench earlier to get him going -- as well as TJ. We need them to get the second unit going considering what we have there with all the injuries.
