Only -6 for the Heat into the 4th considering - so, with that said - if the Heat can stay out of foul trouble and take care of the ball -- they should be ok. Of course, it would help to make more FTs -- even when they get a lot of attempts they still don't seem to make enough.

Yeah. The refs gave them 13 points and had us committing more turnovers and had Winslow at -18. The Refs also must have played defense for us as we gave up 120 points. Can we beat the Nets on the road? Otherwise, could be looking at 5 losses in a row. We have blown a favorable stretch in our schedule.

3-7 versus the East is embarrassing particularly with losses against the Hawks and Wizards and then 3 games lost at home. To be fair, that is lotto basketball. Boys are all well paid and now don’t care about defense. Thinking 36 year old Wade, Waiters and 30 plus year old journeyman will be saviors is fools gold. Whoever has our pick is likely licking their chops. Hope I am wrong, but this could be our worst team since we picked Winslow 10th instead of the kid who knows plays in Phoenix or instead of trading to the Celtics for all those picks. Organization headed south.

Haven't seen all that many updates about their injuries beyond pre-game work they get in and practice - I think the lack of updates signal that they are still a while away from returning - I hope I am wrong - but that is my interpretation of the lack of updates.

Yeah, I have the same interpretation. I definitely thought James Johnson would have been back by now. With Waiters this was expected for the most part but even Heat writers were thinking James Johnson would be available before October came to end so that one is very frustrating to say the least.

As for Waiters, for the first time ever I saw him working out on the court prior to the game which is a positive sign

There were new points of emphasis made on the defensive end of the court which teams did not know about until late September/early October. I don't think it is about not caring about defense but it is more about these new rules pretty much doesn't allow you to play defense. If Miami dare try and play physical then this happen. Lots of BS touch fouls that are not called last season.

There is a reason why you see teams putting up 125+ points on a regular this season. Heck there's been a couple of games where teams put up nearly 150 in a 4 quarter basketball game.

Let this marinate, Winslow has a 39 million contract and Johnson is getting paid 20 million.....
