I just dont see Wade leaving. Everything he ever built in Miami would suddenly disappear. he is Mr 305. i have no doubt someday they will officially change Dade County to Wade county. He is a KING in Miami. Fans are fickle, and not very forgiving.

Yeah, it sucks. But you're paying for future production, not past production. 15M would've been more agreeable.

In other news, the Heat are once again losing out on guys because yet another diva is holding the team hostage with his decision. Our biggest FA prizes will turn out to be Hassan -- and Diva Wade once he decides to get his head out of his ass.

As to this idea of Winslow as a starter, he will have to make strides offensively to earn that. As it stands with the roster, he is likely a starter -- but , if diva allows us the time and money -- we can maybe add a more starter ready player until Winslow gets right offensively.

I figured. Thats why you must consider the source when you read stuff during this period -- and not believe every thing you read. Then again, there is no such thing as " low-balling offers" by the Heat -- They offer exactly what they feel a particular player deserves and thats that. Agreed on a 1-2 year deal. But he will get that in Miami. This happens every time Wade is a free agent. He always ends up here. I am not that worried. We will find out soon, I just don't see him leaving.

But let's say he does leave... is it the worse thing in the world for Miami to not be paying a 3 yr 45-50 million dollar deal for a 34 year old with bad knees whose shooting % and ppg have been steadily in decline since LeBron left. Wade is my favorite all time athlete... I love the guy and everything he has done for this franchise. But if we don't get KD we aren't going to be able to beat Cleveland. Losing Wade wouldn't be the franchise killing lose it would have been 6 years ago.

I assume you are referring to Wade. Wade got Miami out of the first round last year with one crazy shot after another in game 6. Miami then got 3 more home playoff games. From a franchise perspective, Wade earned his 20 million last year.

Interesting developments in free agency. This reminds me of the bloated salaries before the last lockout. Owners can't help themselves and while there is a ton of appreciation in value of franchise and some just have so much money, it won't be long before the certain owners ask to be saved from themselves. We shall see. Like Hassam, Dragic, Winslow, and bosh and wade as a core assuming Bosh is healthy and wade stays that way. I do think there is a chance we get Durant. Will be fun. They key to next season is Bosh. Ridiculous amounts of money being thrown out there.
