Been on vacation this week. So haven't been checking the site.. so even though I am about 7 pages late, here's what I see.

Third question for everyone.. Would it be worth it to deal Deng for a shooter? Deng is still a solid guy. But we NEED a shooter. With the emergence of Winslow.. I think we would be better served with Winslow starting a shooter coming in off the bench. Just my opinion.

I'm not in favor of dealing Deng for a shooter....at least not in favor of a shooter. I feel like Deng brings a lot to the table even though he's not a big scorer. Getting a shooter who's only good at one thing would really hurt the team IMO. I don't mind finding a shooter off the street and dropping that Stokes guy but I'm really against trading a starter for a shooter. If you were talking about Birdman for a shooter I would agree

Win or lose, there seems to be nights where the Heat seem to have guys just like this - guys who are just good at one thing and stinking it up or simply not trying in other areas

Deng is 10 million a season. So if we did deal him the salaries would have to match. For 10 million, I would think who ever that we did bring in would do more than just shoot. But getting a shooter is a top need of this team. The great thing about the Deng contract is it is expiring this offseason.

What would make our life easier is if Winslow develop a consistent jumpshot

According to a twitter exchange Ira and a few fans, it seems like the heat are considering starting Winslow tonight in place of Deng, while bringing in G-Squared off the bench with the second unit which should be better for him and our second unit as a whole. We shall see.

That would make sense. Green is not a good defender and starting him means he would have to guard Melo

I can't remember any double or triple teams on Melo from the Heat in last game, but I do remember they used 3 different defenders on different occasions in the game - some of that again would help as well

As far as Winslow developing a solid jumper, I believe it will happen. The kid looks like he does put in the work to be a professional. At least, that's what I see and have read about him. He is just a teenager. That blows me away. The jumper will almost have to develop with the sheer amount of time he will be playing basketball over the next couple seasons. By the time this guy is 23, I think we will have a top notch NBA defender with a solid jumper. Which means we got a huge steal in that draft.

He is 19. We got him with the 10th pick and is considered one of, if not THE steal of the draft. Just think about that. I can't get over it.

Gerald Green to start in place of Deng. Also starting: Whiteside, Bosh, Dragic and Wade

No change. But no need to get all worked up about it. Its still a wait-and-see situation, The Heat can still very well start Green and give Winslow starter minutes.
